Think About Me
Michelle Escoffery/The Artful Dodger Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
From the love I gave
Did I really hear you say it's over
Baby, you found another lady
After everything I did for you
Did you think you'd finally stay with someone new
There's only one me and you cannot replace me
So tell me who you run to
Now you know how it feels when young hearts break
Break, break, break, break, break
Break, break, break, break, break
Think about me, when you're lonely
Do you ever think about me
Think about me, me only
Do you ever think about me
When you're feeling low, do you want to call
When you're on your own, doesn't hurt at all
Do you ever think about me
Do you think about me
Heard that she found another guy
Heard he made you cry and you can't believe
How much it hurt you
You thought you'd be true, are you?
Now I hear that you want me back
But you ain't really sure bout me down with that
Cause when you left me, it didn't matter
That you left me lonely
Tell me, how does it feel to be the one who's hurting?
Now you know how it feels when young hearts break
Think about me, when you're lonely
Do you ever think about me
(Do you think about me, yeah)
Think about me, me only
Do you ever think about me (heyâ?¦)
When you're feeling low, do you want to call
When you're on your own, doesn't hurt at all (ohâ?¦)
Do you ever think about me
Do you think about me
When you're feeling low, do you want to call me
When you're on your own, are you feeling lonely
When you're feeling low, do you want to call me
When you're on your own, are you feeling lonely
Ey-yeah
Think about me, when you're lonely
Do you ever think about me
(Do you think about me)
Think about me, me only
Do you ever think about me
(Do you think about)
When you're feeling low (low)
Do you want to call (call me)
When you're on your own (own)
Doesn't hurt at all
Do you ever think about me
(Do you, do you think about meâ?¦)
Do you think about me
Think about me, when you're lonely
Do you ever think about me (ohâ?¦)
Think about me, me only
Do you ever think about me
(when you're feeling low)
When you're feeling low, do you want to call
When you're on your own (oh, oh)
Doesn't hurt at all (doesn't)
Do you ever think about me (oohâ?¦)
Do you think about me
Think about me, when you're lonely
Do you ever think about me
(Do you, do you think about me)
Think about me, me only
Do you ever think about me
When you're feeling low, do you want to call
When you're on your own, doesn't hurt at all
Do you ever think about me
Do you think about me
(Do you think about me, yeah)
(Think about, think about me)
(Think about me, think about me)
When you're feeling low, do you want to call
When you're on your own, doesn't hurt at all
The lyrics of Michelle Escoffery's song "Think About Me" from The Artful Dodger's album represents a song of heartbreak and longing. The song is about a woman who has been left by her lover for another woman, but she still misses him and can't get him out of her head. In the first verse, the woman expresses her disbelief and hurt that her lover has left her for someone else, despite everything she did for him. She asserts that no one can replace her in his life, and asks him who he would turn to when he needs love. The chorus of the song repeatedly asks if the lover ever thinks about the woman when he’s lonely or feeling low. The second verse continues with the same theme, with the woman saying that she has heard that her lover wants her back, but she is not sure how she feels about that.
Overall, the song represents the pain of heartbreak, and the struggle to move on from someone who has left us. The woman is not sure how to feel or what to do with her emotions, so she simply asks if the man ever thinks of her. The repetition of the chorus represents how persistent the thought of this person is in her mind, even though the relationship is over.

Exactly the same here, hence the fact it's 2022 and still listening this, I am 37 aswell, Not that it makes me cry but it does make me sad because I wish I was that age again, I would do it all differently.
