Day After Day
Milks Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I wouldn't mind a little bit of your green eyes
And a whole lotta kitchen dancing, plantin' your roots in me
Oh the words that you murmured have been keeping me afloat
I gotta tiny jean pocket for all your little quotes
Dai ai da di you made me grow blossoms overnight
And when it rains, we'll keep it down and out of sight
I won't pay any attention to the moss that's growing on my neck
If you won't point it-
Don't you point it out baby
Rake up the leaves don't get caught in the dirt
You know I miss you, long to kiss you, my hands get lonely 'thout my one and only
Wishin' they were up inside your shirt

Fake it fake it fake it fake it for me
As if growing up green was all you ever needed

The theme of weathering storms together is also present in the lyrics, as indicated by the lines "And when it rains, we'll keep it down and out of sight." This could symbolize a commitment to protecting their relationship from external pressures or difficulties. The imagery of ignoring the moss growing on the singer's neck, with the plea for their partner not to point it out, hints at a desire to maintain a sense of blissful ignorance and focus on the positive aspects of their connection.

The closing lines of the song bring a reflective tone, as the singer muses on the idea of growing up "green" and whether that is all that is truly needed. This could be a contemplation on the complexities of adulthood and relationships, questioning whether simplicity and purity, represented by the color green, are all that is necessary for a fulfilling life. Thay clip of the lady drinking milk and getting a milk mustache that looks like she is drinking old chuncky milk is offputting. I hate that they put thickener in it to make it do that nasty mustache thing. Milk is amazing stuff. It is the only thing you can saddlery live off of and still be healthy as can be. Besides other things mixed with milk. But as far as single substances that are natural you wont get by and be healthy with anything else. Maybe blood but i bet you would be very constipated and laking in hydration and not neqrly as healthy. I lived off of only milk for a few months. No change in anything.

Please don't always believe what you see on youtube. But back to milk I have eaten cereal with expired milk. Smell it first & be sure you don't have chunks. When in doubt throw it out.
