Nagasaki
Mills Brothers Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Hot gingerbread and dynamite,
that's all there is at night,
Back in Nagasaki where the fellows chew tobaccky
And the women wicky-wacky-woo!

they got a way that they entertain,
they wouldn't hurry a hurricane.
Back in Nagasaki where the fellows chew tobaccky
And the women wicky-wacky-woo!

Fujiama, get a mama,
Then your troubles increase, boy!
It's south dakota you want a soda
first shake me then ten cents please

They hug and kiss each night,
By jingo, boys, it's worth that price!
Back in Nagasaki where the fellows chew tobaccky
And the women wicky-wacky-woo!

Back in Nagasaki where the fellows chew tobaccky
And the women wicky-wacky-woo!

Just a year after the tragic and unexpected passing of John Mills Junior, and the group is soldiering on bravely. And sublimely, as always. The absolute standard of vocal harmony excellence.

Fríðrikur Ellefsen

The most talented group ever.

Don W

Old enough to remember their TV performances. Enjoy their sound and harmony today.

Mason Mummert

They really do have a lot of talent, considering this is the year after John Jr died, and that is their father to the very right. The family itself was very talented, considering it's only been the four brothers until 1936, when they're father stepped in.

Cynthia Pickett

Very good and valid point made.

what blows me away is how they perform so plain effortlessly .

They were the best and i just caught the end of their run starting in the late forties as a baby but I learned a lot more about them during the next seven or so decades later.
