Não devia me iludir, nem deixar eu me apaixonar
Se você não me queria, não devia me procurar
Não devia me iludir, nem deixar eu me apaixonar
Evitar a dor é impossível
Evitar esse amor é muito mais
Você arruinou a minha vida, me deixa em paz
Se você não me queria, não devia me procurar
Não devia me iludir, nem deixar eu me apaixonar
In Milton Nascimento & Alaíde Costa's song” Me Deixa Em Paz,” the singer addresses someone who has caused them pain by leading them on with false hope and ultimately breaking their heart. The singer knows that this person was never interested in them in the first place, and yet they chose to pursue them, causing the singer to fall in love and suffer heartbreak. The lyrics suggest that the pain of love is unavoidable, but it could have been avoided if the person had not misled and deceived the singer.
The chorus, "me deixa em paz" which translates to "leave me alone" is the singer's plea for the person to stop causing them pain and heartache. They want to move on and forget about this person who has only brought them misery. Throughout the song, there is a sense of regret and hurt, but also a determination to move forward and find peace.
Overall, the song's message is a universal experience of heartbreak and the pain of loving someone who never returns those feelings. It is a melancholic and emotional ballad that speaks to anyone who has suffered a broken heart.

@@alphawolf3994 A música é bem antiga mesmo. Se não me engano, a primeira gravação é de 1952 (vinte anos antes da gravação do Milton e Alaíde). Abraços desde a Colômbia.

Que show hein!
