You are someone who remains ignorant of the deeper aspects of existence, even as you continue to suffer.

You choose not to believe
Despite abundant evidence that supports it, you refuse to accept the existence of certain truths and principles.

Blinded by your own hate
The intense loathing that you possess towards certain concepts or individuals has effectively obscured your vision and limited your understanding.

These words are not enough
Verbal persuasion alone will not suffice in convincing you of something that you are adamantly opposed to.

It takes more to understand
Gaining true comprehension of a difficult issue or concept requires more than surface-level analysis or discussion.

Why you choose not to believe
The reasons you have for turning a blind eye and rejecting certain truths are unclear, even to you.

When it's right before your eyes
Despite having ample, obvious evidence at your disposal, you continue to disregard certain facts and ideas that are plain to see.

While your words pave the way, for a strained disbelief
Although you speak of ideas that should be easy to believe, the tension in your words reveals your underlying doubts and suspicions.

I witness past achievements, but they echo far away
As I look back on previous efforts and accomplishments, the reverberations of past successes have since become more distant and indistinct.

You hide and conceal, but you are showing everything
Though you try to cover up and conceal certain aspects of yourself, your true nature continues to reveal itself and broadcast your insecurities and darker tendencies.

And like a serpent, I'm slipping down inside
Just as a serpent slithers beneath the surface to gain a better understanding of its environment, I too am probing the depths of your psyche to better understand your motives and character.

Guide me to your shore, leave the past behind
Direct me towards a more uplifting and positive direction, one free from past hardships and suffering.

I will follow you to death, if you try to understand
If you would but attempt to comprehend complex concepts, even to the point of being out of your comfort zone, I would stand and fight alongside you.

So open up your eyes, see what you have done
Confront your mistakes and excesses head-on by taking a long, hard look at your actions and their consequences.

Maybe then you'll understand, what I have witnessed all along
If you are finally able to grasp the greater truths that have eluded you for so long, perhaps you will begin to see the world as I have all along.
