Oooooohhhhhhhh ooooohh same same same
Many years have gone had so many highs and lows
You caught ma eyes we still looking fly baby
I knew deep inside we were meant to be
And then I realized you won go be changing me
I ain't got to explain who I am
I brought the swag to the game. They can tell you
I'm Mo'Cheddah diva mo lenu
Don't be afraid I got you boy
If you want me You got to take me as I am
If you want me
T'oba fe mi
If you want me
So together we can fly away
I ain't got to explain who I am
Just to please you
I brought the swag to d game. They can tell you
Am Mo'Cheddah diva mo lenu
Don't be afraid I got you boy
Now you say you're ready to work on our love
Empty promises just ain't good enough
There's only one way that we can get back what we had
Or it's over, it's over
After all is said and done
Turn around and hit me with the same old song
How the fame came along and changed us
Used to be for the love not cash soul mates to strangers
That's the danger of questioning who I am
Why I slang or I sag my pants
Flaunt jewelry and set the trends
It's the KH fam and we brag cause we can OT and...
Mo'Cheddah diva mo lenu
Don't be afraid I got u boooooooyyyyy
If you want me You got to take me as I am
If you want me Oooh
So together we can fly away
The song "If You Want Me" by Mo'Cheddah is a statement of self-love and acceptance. The lyrics reveal that the artist is aware of her worth and is not willing to compromise her identity just to please someone else. Mo'Cheddah asserts that she has brought her unique style to the music industry and will not apologize for being herself.
The opening lines of the track set the tone for the message: "Many years have gone had so many highs and lows / You caught ma eyes we still looking fly baby." The first few lines suggest that despite the ups and downs that come with life, Mo'Cheddah has remained confident in her attractiveness and ability to hold her own. She then goes on to declare that she knows she and her partner are meant to be together, but he should not try to change her.
The phrase "Mo'Cheddah diva mo lenu" that she repeats throughout the song is a Yoruba phrase, which means "Mo'Cheddah, I am a boss." The repetition of this phrase adds emphasis to how she is proud of being an artist and will not back down from who she is because of others.
Overall, "If You Want Me" is an empowering song that encourages listeners to embrace their individuality and not let anyone dim their light.
