Initially, Mora Träsk played progg rock music, but after ten years, the band transitioned their focus to children's music. Their breakthrough came with the release of the album "Kaviar, sånglekar & tigerjakt" in 1981, which featured songs collected by Leif "Leffe" Walter during his time as an elementary school teacher.
Throughout their journey, Mora Träsk went through several member changes, with Leif "Leffe" Walter and Gert Ove "Prikken" Smedlund being the remaining members in 1982. They approached Swedish Television with a proposal for a children's TV series, which resulted in a five-episode show that aired in 1982. Concurrently, the band released the cassette "Skidvalla och 7-spring" to coincide with the TV series, gaining significant attention. They performed 300 shows that year.
The following year, Mora Träsk produced another TV series called "Fortsatt högtryck med Mora Träsk" and released the album "Mera Mora." In 1985, they created the TV series "Full rulle" and the radio show "Morrongymnasik med Mora Träsk." The band achieved a "World Class" score in Aftonbladets Folkparksliga in 1986 and released the album "Bulkul" in 1987. They followed up with another album, "Sjung och lek," along with a TV series of the same name in the same year.
In 1990, Mora Träsk began making alternate versions of songs, including a hip hop version of the Swedish midsummer song "Små grodorna" and a Jungle Disco Mix of their popular track "Tigerjakten." Re-recordings of their earlier songs were released in 1991. The band embarked on a successful tour in 1992, attracting a total audience of 20,000 people in a week and setting an audience record at Solnahallen with 5,000 attendees. More re-recordings were released on CD.
In 1993, Mora Träsk released the album "Gubbarna i lådan." The band continued their success with two more TV shows, "Sjung & lek" and "Sjung & lek 2," in 1994. They had a radio show called "Dans runt granen" and another TV series, "Låteri & hoppsansa," in 1995 and 1996. In 1997, the albums "Sjung på morgonen" and "Träskliv" were released.
In 1999, the band disbanded, but Leif "Leffe" Walter reformed the group with Daniel Lindblom on guitar, Ulf Ivarsson on bass, and Christer Björklund on drums. Daniel Lindblom later left the band, and Felix André and Ingemar André joined as supporting guitarists. In 2002, Mora Träsk embarked on a university tour, performing their nostalgic preschool songs for students. They also held a summer tour consisting of 70 concerts.
