The lyrics to "Romance" by Mozart - Serenades and Divertimenti for Winds seem to be a mix of English and another language, making it a bit challenging to fully interpret the meaning. However, based on the provided words, the song appears to be about someone who is being pursued by another person who wants a romantic relationship and a family. The singer, however, is not interested in reciprocating those feelings and makes it clear that they cannot fulfill the other person's desires. The repeated line "Not your lover, no" emphasizes the singer's rejection of the romantic proposal.
In the second part of the lyrics, the singer refers to the other person as a gamble and a casino, suggesting that getting involved with them is a risky endeavor. The line "If shawty is a cancer, how is she a libra?" implies confusion or contradictions in the other person's character. The singer asserts their authority as someone older or more experienced, stating "Baby I'm your Oga" (Oga is a Nigerian term meaning boss or leader). The phrase "Mo ni fe re" and "Mi o ni fe re" are repeated several times throughout the song, which may be from another language and could carry a deeper meaning.
Overall, the lyrics seem to convey the singer's refusal of a romantic relationship and their assertion of independence and refusal to be swayed by the other person's desires.

I was a long haired rock and roll drummer, gigging steadily, when this movie came out. Me and my band mates went to see it. We walked out 2 hours later forever changed. I opened up an entirely new world of music for us. I will be forever grateful.

<3 it changed my life to <3
Mike Schneider
Phillip ... as a musician .. can you post what happened next?
Phillip LeBlanc
@Mike Schneider Thank you. My classical music appreciation grew to include many of the greatest musicians including modern classical musicians, like Yanni for example.
I got to see many live performances: symphonies, operas, ballets and loved them all. I learned to appreciate that sometimes less is more. One perfect note at the perfect time can be more mesmerizing than a shredding guitar solo.
Music has always been an important part of my life.

Ummm, why did you go see it in the first place instead of PLATOON or smthng like that?
Phillip LeBlanc
@0123456789abc decghijklmn I did see Platoon and lived it. I think I remember seeing a commercial on TV for Amadeus and thought, "That guy looks like a party animal. I'll go see it. " When I left the movie I thought if half of that movie is even half right, Mozart was a serious partier and an amazing musician. So I went to the bookstore and bought a biography on Mozart written by Marcia Davenport in 1935. The oldest biography I could find. The movie was Hollywood for sure but basically correct with regards to Mozart's life and lifestyle. Then I bought his greatest hits LP. Thus started a lifetime of classical music appreciation.
Harry Fishback
The scene in Amedeus in which Solieri is describing Mozart's genius is so brilliant. That movie has a huge huge impact on my life in so many ways. It also gave me an even deeper passion for classical music...
Gerard Beaubrun
Same here. This is the scene that sets the drama of Salieri. How come so much divinity was given to such a vulgar man
Gorilla Jones
Harry Fishback I saw the movie in theaters as a sophomore in high school for a class assignment on the arts. It changed my life. I am from the inner city and had not ever experienced any classical composer. I tried to hide my confusion and emotions from my classmates, I was overwhelmed. After years and decades I look back and think how my friends couldn’t hear what I was hearing. It’s been many decades now and I have a greater love for life because of that day, and a vast collection of master works that bring me joy.
If you can, try and spread that joy to young people.

yes - the movie is a great homage to the brilliance of Mozart
