Nothing's Alright Everything's Ok
Muph & Plutonic Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Short of a dollar, struggle to pay the rent
Walk with heavy steps, shoes caked in cement
With a dried up wallet when
The honesty is spent
A fire in the pocket can burn a mans intent
Two cent pieces, cheap speech free of action
Move these weak knees before
They keep crashing
Staggering, hands sliding along the wall
Stall, now I'm back again
Gotta keep on the ball
When we fall we bounce back, we show backbone
No backstroke counter-attack waiting for
The cash to grow
In the cabbage patch have attatched quickly
Satisfied easily by the simplicity
The industries imagery that'll ram-way
The fan base
Watch the stems break down the system
Many have got to hustle before
They play the victim
Never let the money start
Depicting his visions
Even when hungry he made focused decisions
Had faith in himself to help
Climb a better livin
Knowing at the end of the
Day nothing is alright, but everything is ok
The only way is to keep
Kicking through the rough patch
In the end we can't control everything
And it's best to accept that

Nothing is alright, but everything is ok
Nothing is alright, but everything is ok

"My poetry's deep, I never fell" - Nas
"It was dark when I put it to the light
No question"

High on life like the the air
We breathe is just weed smoke
Inbetween the sighs, the frowns
The crowd of heath hoes
That roll the dice through the
Crabs at the casino, see no evil
Learn no tactics but calculate the factors
That managed the rough patch
Famish with the cutbacks
Scraps slope energy no remedy, fuck that
The sandpaper will scrape the skin
The wounds will heal
So we take it all in, major spins
On this rotating globe
Locating the won't's
Motivating the don't's
Donating some hope in the scope of those
In that less fortunate predicament
Seen angels shut down with stones
And devils build their homes
Sitting in the comfort of
Their gold-plated kitchen
Soul escaping the vision with
A lack of inhibition
A little bitchen is just part of the cause
Pumping fear through television to
Pardon the war but this lion here will walk
Til the vocal cords distort
'Til the short straw offers no hope
And while nothing is alright
Everything is ok though

Nothing is alright, but everything is ok
Nothing is alright, but everything is ok

Nothing is alright
But everything is ok repeats til fade

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Muph & Plutonic's song "Nothing's Alright Everything's Ok" delve into the struggles of everyday life and the resilience needed to navigate through difficult times. The opening lines express the financial hardships faced, with the struggle to pay the rent and a sense of heaviness and weariness represented by shoes caked in cement. The mention of a dried up wallet and the loss of honesty reference the challenges of maintaining integrity in the face of financial strain.

The lyrics then explore the notion of perseverance and the need to keep going despite setbacks. There is a call to action to move forward before crashing, with a focus on bouncing back and showing resilience. The song acknowledges the need to hustle and avoid being victimized by circumstances, emphasizing the importance of making focused decisions and having faith in oneself to achieve a better life.

Despite the acknowledgment that nothing is truly alright, the lyrics suggest that everything is okay in the grand scheme of things. It is a reminder that we cannot control everything, and it is best to accept that reality. The song concludes with a reference to Nas's quote about deep poetry and the idea that light can be found in darkness. The lyrics speak to finding hope, donating it to others in less fortunate circumstances, and pushing forward even when faced with fear and adversity.

I just realized that iCarly is like an infinitely shittier version of the Waynes World show

@spammy555

hillbilly5012 An infinitely shittier version of the Wayne's World show

@Adamguy2003

hillbilly5012 A horrible sitcom show that ran on Nickelodeon about two dumb flaky girls who run a stupid webcam series (Which, thinking about it, is often indeed like a much crappier version of the Wayne's World show) that for some reason is supposed to be an Internet hit, and the insipid "adventures" they get up to with their friends behind the scenes. I've had dental work done that's been more pleasant to sit through than what I've seen of that show.
It embodies pretty much everything stupid, lame, and vapid about children's television today.

@hillbilly5012

Adamguy2003 that was an excellent explanation

@quicksilver9345

Adamguy2003 gotta agree, excellent explanation. Damn shame it's compared to Wayne's World however.....cause i fucking love this movie(and their would-be show)
