1) Nadine Elizabeth Louise Coyle (born June 15, 1985 in Derry, Northern Ireland) is a solo singer and member of British girl group Girls Aloud.
In 2009 after it was announced Girls Aloud would be taking a year-long break Nadine made it clear she was working on her solo music career and she has been keeping fans up to date through the use of her Twitter account. Her first solo single and album are due to be released in the first half of 2010 with a gob-smacking 50 songs she has written to choose from for her debut solo album.
Career
A native of Derry, Nadine Coyle, also known as Nadz or Diney, first found fame in 2001 when, while still at school, she entered the Irish version of the talent show Popstars. As one of the winners of the show, Coyle was selected to become a member of the band Six. Shortly after the band was formed, the bandmates moved into a house together and all were interviewed on camera. Coyle gave a string of information about herself, but then stopped suddenly and whispered “What date of birth did I give…?”. She initially maintained that she had simply made a mistake when stating her birthday, but later broke down off camera and admitted that she had lied about her age, and was in fact only 16 years old. As the minimum age stipulated by the producers was 18, she had to be dropped from the band. The other members of the band protested for her to be allowed to stay, but producers forced her to leave.
In 2002 Coyle returned to enter the UK talent show Popstars: The Rivals. As she pulled through the first few rounds her very first fansite opened, and soon she was on the way to the final night. She polled the third-highest number of votes in the final, and was chosen to join the band Girls Aloud, much to the delight of friend and new bandmate Kimberley Walsh. During the series she had been a hot favourite to make the band, especially after a stunning rendition of “Fields of Gold”, which many believe was the performance of the series. She also sang “Show Me Heaven”, “When I Fall in Love” and “I Wanna Dance With Somebody”, regularly receiving some of the highest vote tallies. When asked to name a highlight from the show, presenter Davina McCall simply answered “Nadine”.
With Girls Aloud she has scored 21 top 10 singles and 6 multi-platinum albums, and is often seen as “the voice” of the band.
Before hitting the big time, Nadine recorded a demo CD which was distributed to Louis Walsh (previously a co-manager of Girls Aloud) and The Late Late Show. This included “Fields of Gold”, as well as “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”, “Love Is” and “Summertime”. The demo CD is very rare as only a few copies were made (Nadine gave most to her friends and family), but one found its way onto eBay and earned a high price.
On 16 September 2014, Coyle announced that she began working with longtime collaborator Brian Higgins. In March 2015, Coyle spoke about the details concerning her second album, stating that she intended on signing with a major label and that the sound is "similar" to that of London Grammar.
In July 2017, it was announced that Coyle had signed a recording deal with Virgin EMI Records. Her new single, "Go to Work" was on 8th September 2017.
2) Nadine began in St. Louis in 1996, when the band was commissioned by German label Glitterhouse to record Back to My Senses. Two years later, the band self-recorded their second release, Downtown, Saturday, with the help of Wilco’s then-drummer Ken Coomer. Mojo featured Downtown, Saturday as it’s Americana Album of the Month, prompting the first of many European tours for Nadine. After the band and their third, more popdriven release, Lit Up From the Inside, were deemed immaculate by Uncut, Nadine spent the next two years supporting such acts as the Posies, Chuck Prophet, Clem Snide, Slobberbone, Richard Thompson, Freedy Johnston, and Ryan Adams.
The Band: Jimmy Griffin (guitar), Adam Reichmann (vocals, guitar), Steve Rauner (keyboards, guitar, vocals), Anne Tkach (bass, vocals), and Brian Zielie (drums).
3) Nadine - a Romanian pop singer with a very short career; her only album was released in 2001 with the help of a TV station called PrimaTV. The album is called ‘Prima Dragoste’ (First Love) and has 10 tracks.
4) NADINE - Bringing together singer Nadia Hulett with Carlos Hernandez and Julian Fader of Ava Luna, oh my is the debut LP of indie pop trio NADINE. With a restrained, jazz-inflected sophistication that can evoke ’70s jazz-rock and the softer side of Laurie Anderson, at least in passing moments, the group steers clear of Ava Luna’s more vivid sound. In 2022, the band renamed itself Sweet Dreams Nadine.

Meets an old immovable object like me
You can bet just as sure as you live
Something's gotta give
Something's gotta give
Something's gotta give
Warms an old implacable heart such as mine
Don't say no because I insist
Somewhere, somehow
Someone's gotta be kissed
So, en garde, who knows what the fates might have in store
From their vast mysterious sky
I'll try hard ignorin' those lips that I adore
But how long can anyone try?
Fight, fight, fight, fight, fight it with all of our might
Chances are some heavenly star-spangled night
We'll find out just as sure as we live
Something's gotta give
Something's gotta give
Something's gotta give
Fight, fight, fight it with all of your might
Chances are that some heavenly star-spangled night
We'll find out just as sure as we live
Something's gotta give
Something's gotta give
Something's gotta give
Something's gotta give
Something's gotta give
Aw, let's tear it up
The lyrics to Nadine's song "Something's Gotta Give" describe the irresistible force of love and the struggle between two individuals who seem diametrically opposed - an old, immovable object and an irrepressible smile. The song's title itself is an idiom that suggests there is a breaking point or a limit to what can be tolerated or sustained, and the lyrics express the intense feeling of being caught in a situation where something has to change, where sparks are bound to fly.
The singer describes himself as an old, immovable object contrasted with the irresistible force of the other person. In spite of this, there is a need for affection and intimacy that neither can deny, as implied in the lines "Don't say no because I insist/Somewhere, somehow/Someone's gotta be kissed." The singer seems to be torn between his desire to resist and his inability to do so, as expressed in the refrain "Something's gotta give."
The lyrics paint a picture of a battle of wills, between two strong-willed individuals trying to resist the force of attraction, but it seems that the universe has other plans for them, and they must inevitably give in. The final lines "Aw, let's tear it up" suggest a playful, passionate release of tension that has been brewing throughout the song.
