End Of The World
Nancy Sinatra Lyrics

Why does the sea rush to shore
Don't they know it's the end of the world
'Cause you don't love me any more
Why do the birds go on singing
Why do the stars glow above
Don't they know it's the end of the world
I wake up in the morning and I wonder
Why everything's the same as it was
I can't understand, no, I can't understand
How life goes on the way it does
Why does my heart go on beating
Why do these eyes of mine cry
Don't they know it's the end of the world
It ended when you said goodbye
Why does my heart go on beating
Why do these eyes of mine cry
Don't they know it's the end of the world
It ended when you said goodbye
Nancy Sinatra's song "End of the World" tells the story of a heartbroken lover who is struggling to come to terms with the fact that the person they love doesn't feel the same way anymore. The lyrics are filled with questions that the singer is asking about the world around them. They are wondering if the sun and the sea realize that their love has ended, and if the birds and stars understand that their world has come to an end. They are also questioning why their own heart is still beating and why their eyes are still crying even though the love of their life is not with them anymore.
The lyrics reveal a sense of confusion and loss that many people can relate to. The singer is struggling to understand how life can go on as usual when their world has been turned upside down. They are searching for meaning and trying to make sense of their pain, but everything around them seems to be moving forward as if nothing has changed.
Overall, the song is a powerful reminder of the deep emotional pain that accompanies the end of a relationship. It captures the feeling of heartbreak and the sense of disorientation that comes with it. The lyrics paint a picture of a world that has lost its color and life, a world that is coming to an end because of the loss of love.
