Born to a half Tunisian father and American mother, he has been active since 1993 as a bandmate of the rap group St. Lunatics, and became a hip-hop superstar after the success of his solo release, Country Grammar, in 2000. The album peaked at #1 on the Billboard 200, spawned multiple chart toppers and won three Grammy awards. His second effort, 2002's Nellyville, was equally successful and it included the hits "Dilemma" and "Hot in Herre" and was nominated for five Grammy awards, including Album of the Year. In 2004 Nelly released two albums at the same time, Sweat and Suit, and in September they briefly held the two top spots on the charts. His latest album is Brass Knuckles, released in 2008.
Nelly has been equally active as a businessman; among other ventures, in 2003 he released his own energy drink called "Pimp Juice," and in 2004 he became a minority owner of the NBA's Charlotte Bobcats basketball team. He is also the CEO of Derrty Entertainment, his own company formed in 2003. Nelly has two clothing lines: Vokal (for men) and Apple Bottoms (for women).

Fuck It
Nelly Lyrics
(Where have you been?)
Damn
Damn, girl, why didn't you tell me the elevator was broke?
(What took you so long?)
I had to climb 'bout three, four flights of steps, what's up?
(All I asked was to get the Nellyville CD) ayy, uh
Damn, yeah, I got it, I got it, I got it
(How hard was that?)
What? Why you actin' mad?
I'm the one running around looking for the album
(Because I've been in this apartment for a long time)
What you talkin' 'bout it took so long? (Waitin' on your ass)
I ain't been gone but, shoot, what? (I done watched Jenny Jones)
One, two, three hours? (Montel, Judge Judy)
I wasn't even gone for that long
(What? You had to go to St. Louis to get the motherfuckin' CD?)
Look, baby, look, I got it, just calm down, alright, calm down
(What was so hard about that?)
Look, just drink some champagne
(I don't want no damn champagne, where's is the Nellyville?)
Maybe later on, I hit that ass (whatever)
Everybody just chill out, you know what I mean? (Where's the CD?)
Yeah, I got the Nelly for you, yeah, I got it
I'ma put this on, yeah
You know, I hope you don't mind the clean version
(The clean version?) what?
(What?)
Nah, this is all they had
(Nigga, what you think, this is rated PG?)
Look baby, look, I can cuss, I can cuss for everybody (you think we at the Prom?)
Don't you worry about the cussin' (the fuck is wrong with you?)
There's gonna be plenty of bad words sayin' up in-
(Whatever, you know what? Get me out of this small ass)
Where you think you're goin'? (Hot ass apartment, anyways)
You just gon'-
Oh, so you just gon' leave me like that? (where's my shit?)
After I been- (give me my coat, I'm ready to go)
So you-? Okay
So you just gonna NSync a bro?
You just gone (bye)
You're
And the truth remains, you're-
Hey, that' alright
'Cause I hope your ass slip and fall down them stairs
You and your Gucci shoes
(Ah)
