By 1979 the primary members of this band/collective were Cenac, Yvette "Lady E" Cook, Monique Angevin, and Bob "Chilly B" Crafton. There were two active females at this point and is apparent that at least one female played instruments for the band (per photo), both of which are of significance in the early history of female hip hop artists & women's history in general.
There is also the album "Space Is The Place" from 1985. Chili B passed away on February 25, 2010. RIP!

The above lyrics are from the song "Jam On Revenge" by Newcleus, a classic electro-funk track that was released in 1983. The song starts with a reference to a fictional character named Cosmo, who barks like a dog (woof woof). Then the singer asks Cosmo to let him rock the mic, implying that he's better at rapping. The singer then goes on to say "wiki wiki wiki," which is an onomatopoeic representation of the sound made by a DJ scratching a vinyl record.
The song then continues with the singer suggesting that they take the train instead of a plane, and references the popular phrase "hotel motel, holiday inn," which was made famous by the Sugarhill Gang's song "Rapper's Delight." The singer also says "one for the trouble, two for the test," which is a phrase commonly used by DJs to get a crowd hyped up. The song ends with the repeated phrase "jam on," encouraging people to keep dancing and enjoying the funky music.

Found this record and a bunch of other classics in a milk crate in the rain in an abandoned alley in Philly. Took them all out of the wet sleeves and threw them in the trunk in a bag. Whoever left them there CHANGED MY LIFE. Forever greatful!
