“Nikki Forova is an indie singer/songwriter that compares to the likes of Imogen Heap, Tori Amos, Vanessa Carlton and Regina Spektor. Her craftsmanship on the piano is more than just elegant. Songs like “Sky Writer” and “Revving Wings” grasp that inner feeling of intense emotion. The combination of Nikki’s powerful vocals serene musical melody, especially in “After Today” and “Little Green Piece of Life” capture such intense feelings of incredible beauty, that it feels like falling in love. That’s putting it lightly,” says radio host from “The Great Unknowns” in Los Angeles, Mikey Jayy.

Nikki started composing songs when she was seven years of age. During the following eight years in music school she learned to play the piano, danced, and sang in various choirs. Through persistent practice she won several dance competitions, composition contests, and made it to the national finals with her solo performances.

She came to America, graduated in Music Composition and moved to Los Angeles to seriously start to work on her career. She was noticed after out of thousands of hopeful contestants she won a National MTV Duets competition and had the amazing experience of performing the hit song "A Thousand Miles” with Grammy Nominee Vanessa Carlton. After playing the clubs in and around Los Angeles for a couple years, enchanting audiences with her astounding performances Nikki recorded her eclectic, emotion-packed, enriched with strings and various interesting ethnic instruments album "Revving Wings," released in March 2010. After this she launched on the World Tour that lasted 18 months!

Nikki was fascinated with orchestration for film that's why she explored in her own album the interweaving of dynamic, moving strings with ethnic instruments such as Russian Balalaika, Chinese Violin (Erhu) and Accordion. She says "I like for my music to breath, stream, explore depth, and text-paint." Her first insightful emotion-packed album titled "Revving Wings” was released in March of 2010. Immediately following the release Nikki launched independently on her World Tour. She sucessfully toured Italy, England, Findland, Germany and France jointly with American Idol Finalist, Shaun Barrowes, gaining indie underground popularity. Then she toured Western States of USA winning the hearts of the audiences with her sincere personality, powerful vocal performances and her uniquely quarky, poetic and moving songwriting style.

Nikki's band consits five professional musicians: Kathryn Madsen, viola, Steven Lorentzen, drums, Barrett Wilson, guitar and back up vocals, John Wang on bass and Nikki herself, piano and lead vocals. Nikki has been touring Europe and US since March of 2010 and until now. Currently, she is on tour with shows in Switzerland and Italy, but she is starting to record her second album which will be her focus for the next few months. Nikki Forova's creative journey continues.
