NovA began writing rhymes at the age of 14 with friends purely for fun. He began to take rhyming seriously soon after, realizing that his raps could be used to articulate his feelings more clearly than mere prose ever could. Soon, NovA was studying the rhymes of all of the great hip hop artist, from Jay-z to Eminem to Tupac and Outkast in search for a quality that was shared among them which made them "great". His conclusion would be that it was lyricism which set them apart from other artists.

From the moment of that realization, NovA, began to perfect his lyrical ability, carefully analyzing every line to ensure perfection. By the age of 17, NovA had begun being featured in the Philadelphia Daily News and receiving glowing reviews for his music on the now defunct PhillyHipHop.com .

In 2007, NovA recorded, his first full-length album "The Myth of Sisyphus". "The Myth of Sisyphus", however, would not be officially released due to NovA's decision to focus on receiving his B.A in Philosophy from Temple University.

However, the itch to record new music soon caught a hold of NovA once more while still in school. Over a 2 year period, he began exploring new sounds and song structures, recording over 100 new songs. This new music would become the basis for his new album "The New Black". "The New Black" is an album unlike any other before it, blending Hip Hop, Rock, Pop, and R&B into one cohesive sonic adventure. It is a bold departure from the "Philly Rap" sound so prevalent among Philadelphia Hip Hop artists. "I knew it would be risky", says NovA. "But at the same time, I feel that it is something that is needed. Hip Hop has become so stale and predictable, I thought that I should shake things up", he goes on.

And so NovA is poised to release his first official album "The New Black" on February, 10th 2011, ready to "shake things up" in the music world. Only time will tell just how violent that shake will be.

I just had this issue with them too. I had to dispute with my bank in order to get my money back. I ordered November 28th and never got my order. My order said exception and called everywhere never got in touch with anyone. Never ordering from there anymore

I’m so pissed. I paid for rush shipping on Thursday because I need my graduation dress for Saturday. Their website literally said “Order by 1pm PST to receive 1 day overnight shipping” and I ordered my clothes before the cut off. So far the item hasn’t even been sent to FedEx and they gave me the tracking number yesterday I’m so mad😡. It says the dress won’t come until Monday. I won’t need it then😡.

They raaaarely do! They usually just give you a store credit. Also, I've never returned an item before...even if it never fit. I just couldn't bother with all the shipping issues again 😩😩. Worst case scenario, sell the dress online... Poshmark, Depop, etc... better than nothing! 💕

I will never order from fashion nova again. They decided to go through a shipping company that is known for fraud and not delivering people’s package. They claim my package got delivered and it never did. I. Top of that, that was almost two months later so I had the bank pull my money back. So we good there but be very careful ordering from them. fashion nova is a big company, they should have control. in terms of small business, it is very hard for them to find affordable shipping, it costs 30$ to ship 1 pound across to the uk! This is an issue if small buisness are selling at cheap rates and being transparent with shipping costs.

Hey girl! I ordered from FN a couple weeks back . I'm also from Canada 🇨🇦 I spent $151 CAD. The shipped out my package, but their now using a different carrier which is PPX Track, no Canada Post for some reason. I will never shop from fashion nova again, I paid for over night shipping on Friday morning. I needed the outfit Saturday evening sometime so after seeing that it would be delivered to me on Saturday I chose to go through with the order. let’s just say not only did I pay extra to have my order here on time and it wasn’t, but I also wasted so much gas driving to a fed ex facility only for them to tell me they couldn’t release my package to me because fashion nova processed it to be shipped on Monday passed the date I needed the outfits. I started a return whole month later no updates, fedex provided me with tracking number stating it had been sent back. I nicely disputed the charge with my bank

The duties and taxes are quite high. However, in my country, Grenada, when my orders arrive with DHL, I don't pay when I collect my packages. I was told I had already paid the fees in the duties and taxes when I ordered.

doll, I would have cancelled it and filed a credit card dispute. -20$ out from returning vs -90$ from crappy service and duties. Also, if they weren't transparent with the price, you might get ONE customer service rep that would give your money back. If not, always always file a dispute. Never let these companies take advantage of you.

Mija thank you for this I had no time to make my own video of my scam experience with fashion nova. you are better off buying similar clothing from amazon because they are basically the same and with amazon, you get your money back if it doesn't ship.

that being said Fashion nova straight up Jacked my money, their delivery service never delivered my items to my home, and then to add insult to injury PayPal would not help me because it was delivered somewhere... to who... god only knows.

from there I was never given my merch and never got my money back it was really a lesson learned in dealing with this company I am surprised there is no class action lawsuit or reports to the better business bureau reported about them. just so you know there are ways even from Canada you can definitely fight back. Thanks for sharing your story. they win because folks like me just don't have time to pursue the problem as we all should.

When I tried to call the customer service line it said on the site that it was shut down until September I had to blast them all over social media in order to get a response and even then it was half ass. I am in the SAME predicament as you! Except i use a carrier company (i pay one time customs and duty fees with them) with a us address and girllll! They scammed me! Sent me nonsense emails. I couldnt call the lines bc of toll charges so i let a friend call for me and nothing. Messaged them on their website. Got a bot half a dozen times. Finally connected to a 'real' person. Chat disconnected before i could even ask my questions.
I reported them to the bbb. They finally shipped my items. Things were going great. Until i saw it was in my carriers state for 3 days. I was like wtf. So i messaged fashionnova and they told me they couldnt help me, my order was now the responsibility of the shipping company they use which is lasership. I looked up lasership. The reviews were absolutely terrible. Tried reaching out to lasership. Couldnt get them, was gonna submit a claim online with bbb and still couldnt get them because the bbb wesite is down. Meanwhile the lasership website just updates to the current date for my package arrival prediction. I wasnt born yesterday. I've already waited 3 weeks. If i dont get my package by the first week in january i will demand to get my money back. I'm sick of playing detective.

Duties and taxes. They are now not giving us an option to choose, we must pay for them. But guess what you are gonna have to pay AGAIN for both duties and taxes. I'm sorry that happened to u, next time that happen to u dispute it with ur bank I did it and when my bank contacted them they send back the money to my acct real quick, and they did it to me twice and I dispute it twice and got back my money 2 times. next time try that, they send bk the money on that same card I did the purchase from.
