With their unique style of psychedelic garage and a mix of R&B, Okamoto's have been likened to The Rolling Stones, The Who and The Stooges.
Okamoto's come with a message, barely 19 and they already have the fire and passion to take over the world questioning the forefathers of Rock itself. They do not simply know, but have the courage to ask Bob Dylan if in fact " The times have actually changed" and of course still maintain the punk rock mentality in asking why are they not learning about rock in school. They have the guts of fearless teenagers, scaring us one adult at a time. Live shows that make the blood curdle at the fact that they have only just graduated from high school, the old are afraid, the young are eating it up. They really are a horrifying band!
June of 2009 saw them release their debut album "Here are Okamoto's" and with over 100 live shows under their belt, Okamoto's are going to just get better and scarier with every step they take. So get on that "Rocket to Japan" because everyone is going to wanna dance with these guys

How? How? How? How?
How? How? How?
These lyrics depict a sense of chaos and desperation, with the opening lines describing children crying and feeling lonely. The mention of a green sports car and chairs lined up suggests a scene of abandonment, as the singer finds themselves alone without their mother. The repeated phrase "世界が変わるそのとき" (sekai ga kawaru sono toki), meaning "the moment the world changes," expresses a longing for a transformative event that will bring about a change in their circumstances.
The second verse introduces imagery of flowers falling and the singer standing motionless in water, feeling helpless. The repetition of "How?" emphasizes their confusion and the lack of understanding regarding the changing world they find themselves in. The realization that nobody will come to their aid is expressed through the lines "誰も助けちゃくれないよ" (daremo tasukechakurenai yo), meaning "nobody will help me." This sense of abandonment and disappointment intensifies as the plea for help goes unanswered.
In the third verse, the lyrics shift to describe a scene of turmoil in a school setting. The line "右回り白ピンクてんてんてん" suggests a spinning motion and the colors white and pink, symbolizing confusion and disorientation. The singer feels overwhelmed and on the verge of vomiting. The quietness of the students reflects their bewilderment and lack of solutions to their problems. The awakening to an abrupt reality brings further confusion and the question of whether they can continue to exist in this world.
The final lines express a longing for a farewell, as the singer wonders if they can still stay in this world ("まだまだここにいれるかな"). The repetition of "さようなら" (sayonara), meaning goodbye, carries a sense of resignation and acceptance. The lyrics convey a deep desire for transformation, hoping for a moment when the world changes and their situation improves, even though they believe that nobody will come to their aid.

ロックに必要なのは言いたいこととやりたいことことの濃度と燃焼力だ。カリズマ性なんかどうでもいい。
