With their unique style of psychedelic garage and a mix of R&B, Okamoto's have been likened to The Rolling Stones, The Who and The Stooges.
Okamoto's come with a message, barely 19 and they already have the fire and passion to take over the world questioning the forefathers of Rock itself. They do not simply know, but have the courage to ask Bob Dylan if in fact " The times have actually changed" and of course still maintain the punk rock mentality in asking why are they not learning about rock in school. They have the guts of fearless teenagers, scaring us one adult at a time. Live shows that make the blood curdle at the fact that they have only just graduated from high school, the old are afraid, the young are eating it up. They really are a horrifying band!
June of 2009 saw them release their debut album "Here are Okamoto's" and with over 100 live shows under their belt, Okamoto's are going to just get better and scarier with every step they take. So get on that "Rocket to Japan" because everyone is going to wanna dance with these guys

The lyrics of OKAMOTO'S song "Let It V" delve into a series of powerful and thought-provoking concepts. The repetition of words starting with the letter "V" creates a captivating rhythm and gives a sense of intensity to the song's message.
The first paragraph introduces a series of contrasting ideas. The words "venture" and "veer" represent a sense of exploration and deviation, hinting at the unpredictable nature of life and its various paths. The mention of "victim" and "vendetta" delves into themes of conflict and revenge, suggesting that individuals may become entangled in personal battles or be subject to injustice. The lyrics further emphasize the turbulent nature of existence by juxtaposing the words "vibrant" and "vandalism," underscoring the presence of both beauty and destruction in the world.
The second paragraph delves into the professional sphere with words such as "vocation" and "vivid." It suggests the importance of pursuing meaningful work that aligns with personal passions and strengths. However, the inclusion of the word "vicious" hints at the sometimes cutthroat nature of certain industries or workplaces. The lyrics also reference the concept of "vogue," suggesting the ever-changing trends and fickle nature of public opinion. Additionally, the mention of "venom" and "vice" alludes to the potential dangers and temptations that individuals may encounter in their career pursuits, serving as a reminder to stay true to oneself.
The third paragraph delves into the realm of personal values and societal norms. The word "vulgar" suggests a societal standard of acceptability, signaling the potential judgment or pressure individuals may face when deviating from these norms. In contrast, the mention of "voluntary" implies personal agency and the ability to make choices freely, highlighting the importance of personal autonomy in navigating societal expectations. By repeating the phrase "Let it V," the lyrics encourage listeners to stay true to themselves and embrace their authentic identities.
In the final paragraph, the repetition of "V" reinforces the overall message of the song. By placing emphasis on the letter itself, it becomes a symbol of expression, strength, and defiance. The lyrics invite listeners to let their true selves shine, embracing their individuality, and not being constrained by external influences. "Let it V" encourages a sense of liberation and empowerment, urging individuals to break free from societal constraints and live their lives on their own terms.
