For a guy whose analysis is so informed by his constitutional precepts, his conclusions would be more credible if:

1) He had dealt with the ways (beyond platforms) in the which the media had changed. The media should be the shield of the people, but it is a narrowly held, money making machine that has moved from reporting to cheerleading various causes, and pushing opinion, not digging for the truth. In many respects, like trump himself, it overlaps with entertainment. I don't think this is exactly the model the framers had hoped would save them from demagogues.

2) The framers were so smart how did we end up with such a bunch of losers in the oval office. At a minimum, Nixon, Carter, Clinton, W, Obama, and Trump have major problems of either character, competency/achievement, or both. Some might argue that the domestic system survives none the less, yet you can't claim to be the "last hope of mankind" if the only way you paper over the cracks is through regularly killing millions of people in misunderstood foreign wars. Say to the tune of 19 million since the Philippine war, not counting the death tolls of the "good wars". You start to look around at enterprises with that kind of blood on their hands, and it is not an attractive list.

These extended interviews reinforce why I appreciate Frontline. These segments also prove that media, especially, the short format common to electronic media can shape and distort how someone comes across. Many of the sound bites I saw made this guy appear like an arrogant airhead. This extended time period allows him to come across as sane, articulate and less like a zealot with a limited understanding of what they espouse zeal for.

It is very hard to forgive someone who got into the Trump camp. He was one of the better ones, which is not a very high bar, and he is definitely very smart and honest compared to the usual but the fact that he was willing to jump on board with a scam artist, and miss the birth of his child because his power ambitions is a very hard to dismiss stain in him. Apparently he was perfectly OK with a structure built on dishonesty and only grew a spine after he was fired. It's still a good thing but I'd prefer someone who was honest from the beginning. I prefer him to be a political commentator because he is definitely very knowledgeable, smart and seems very non-partisan.

I always thought Scaramucci was a lightweight but this interview certainly argued against that. He's very insightful and as a result I've a newfound respect for him... if only he could've been allowed to put those insights to work for this country when he was in the administration, but that, of course, was not possible because: anything trump touches dies, due to his numerous personality flaws.

All these intelligent, articulate people telling how flawed Trump was on so many levels. Or is it all levels? Yet due to power everyone is willing to sell a bit of their soul to partake in the journey. To go on sorry, but his assessment of the press being a pillar and how that has been tarnished is really really critical. Media has become a catering to ideology and not fact. Obama had a hell of a speech writer and delivered those speeches well. He was also a charming and knowledgeable conversationalist. I enjoyed the one opportunity I had to talk with him quite a lot. I regret that Michelle wasn't with him and that I never had a chance to meet her because they ended up in the Whitehouse and had better things to do. I made dinner for Obama and a few friends which turned out very well. I'm glad it did because he was as big a foodie as I was.

To me, this guy seems to know the game. Interesting to hear, what sounds like, a surprisingly candid analysis from one of the actual players. Scaramucci has a Harvard law degree, speaks well and looks good - So why hasn’t CNN or MSNBC or FOX given him a show yet? He obviously is looking for a gig .... they should give him a shot.

While I disagree with Mooch politically and in a number of other ways I like the guy. He's someone I could agree to disagree with on a number of subjects and keep it totally civil and even friendly.

I am surprised at how Scaramucci sounds so intelligent here. His brief tenure at the White House made him appear dumb at that time. So this is quite a revelation.

He's a little bit slick you can tell. He has kind of a tendency to sell himself when he talks. But I think he is more honest than most people on TV who could tell it like it is but choose not to. You can also tell he has a little bit of a braggart, insecure energy like Trump has, but he mostly keeps it under the radar. He has way more self-awareness than Trump does.
