"Don't wanna see your face, you better disappear"
The fire's in their eyes and their words are really clear
So beat it, just beat it
You better run, you better do what you can
Don't wanna see no blood, don't be a macho man
You wanna be tough, better do what you can
So beat it, but you wanna be bad
So beat it (beat it), beat it (beat it)
No one wants to be defeated
Showin' how funky and strong is your fight
It doesn't matter who's wrong or right
Beat it (beat it)
Beat it (beat it)
No one wants to be defeated
Showin' how funky and strong is your fight
It doesn't matter who's wrong or right
Just beat it
Beat it, Beat it
They're out to get you, better leave while you can
Don't wanna be a boy, you wanna be a man
You wanna stay alive, better do what you can
So beat it, just beat it
You have to show them that you're really not scared
You're playin' with your life, this ain't no truth or dare
They'll kick you, then they'll beat you
Then they'll tell you it's fair
So beat it, but you wanna be bad
So beat it (beat it), beat it (beat it)
No one wants to be defeated
Showin' how funky and strong is your fight
It doesn't matter who's wrong or right
Beat it (beat it)
Beat it (beat it)
No one wants to be defeated
Showin' how funky and strong is your fight
It doesn't matter who's wrong or right
Just beat it
Beat it, Beat it
Beat it (beat it), beat it (beat it)
No one wants to be defeated
Showin' how funky and strong is your fight
It doesn't matter who's wrong or right
Beat it (beat it)
Beat it (beat it)
No one wants to be defeated
Showin' how funky and strong is your fight

Beat it, Beat it
The lyrics to One Morning Left's song "Beat It" convey a message of resilience in the face of opposition and the importance of standing up for oneself. The song begins with the singer being told to stay away and disappear, as the intensity in their eyes and words suggests a conflict. The phrase "So beat it, just beat it" is a call to action, urging the listener to fight back and not back down.
The second verse reinforces this idea, emphasizing the need to do whatever it takes to avoid harm and prove oneself. The lyrics suggest that being tough and showing strength are crucial in overcoming challenges. The line "You have to show them that you're really not scared" highlights the importance of facing fears head-on and not allowing others to intimidate you.
The chorus repeats the message of not wanting to be defeated and showcases the "funky and strong" fight within the individual. The lyrics imply that it doesn't matter who is right or wrong; what matters is standing up for oneself and showing resilience. The phrase "Just beat it" serves as a powerful mantra, urging the listener to keep fighting and not give up.
Overall, "Beat It" inspires listeners to be bold, fearless, and unyielding in the face of adversity. It promotes the idea that strength lies in being true to oneself and facing challenges head-on.
