Watch this!
This is the heavy heavy monster sound
The nutsiest sound around
So if you've come in off the street
And you're beginning to feel the heat
Well listen buster
You'd better to start to move your feet
Of Madness
One step beyond!)
(One step beyond!...)
The opening lyrics of One Step Beyond by Madness serve as an invitation to the listener to join in on the infectious, dance-inducing energy of the song. The line "Hey you, don't watch that, watch this!" is a call for attention, imploring the listener to put aside any distractions and immerse themselves in the "heavy heavy monster sound" of the music. The first few lines of the song serve to set the tone for the upbeat, frenetic energy that follows.
As the song progresses, the lyrics take on a more urgent tone, with the singer warning listeners that if they're feeling the heat, they'd better start moving their feet to the "rockin'est, rock-steady beat" of the song. The repetition of the phrase "One step beyond" throughout the song serves as a reminder that Madness is pushing the boundaries of conventional music and urging listeners to throw caution to the wind and fully embrace the experience.
Overall, the lyrics to One Step Beyond are a call to action, inviting the listener to fully engage with the music and let themselves be carried away by the energy and enthusiasm of the song.
