Two months after the band's formation, they played their first gig with the three songs Grey Meadow, Disillusion, What If and some covers.
Since then they have gained solid stage experience and fans with a series of gigs in Paris and neighbouring parts of France.

What If
Orphee's Cry Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
"Would you give me one more chance"?
Would you love me if I cry?
The time has come for this to die
'Cause I leave you
I'm tired to ask myself
'Cause I leave you
What if?
What if?
What if?
What if?
What if?
What if?
What if?
What if?
What you told me was a lie
Now I see anger in your eyes
No, no, no, no
And would you love me if I pray?
Would you give me one more fucking chance?
And I don't think so
I'm tired to ask myself
I don't think so
What if?
What if?
What if?
What if?
What if?
What if?
What if?
What if?
I'll always ask this question
I'll always ask this question
(And I don't think so)
I'll always ask this question
I'll always ask this question
(And I don't think so)
I'll always ask this question
I'll always ask this question
(And I don't think so)
I'll always ask this question
I'll always ask this question, yeah
(What if?)
I'll always ask this question
(And I don't think so)
(What if?)
I'll always ask this question
(And I don't think so)
(What if?)
I'll always ask this question
(And I don't think so)
(What if?)
I'll always ask this question
(And I don't think so)
This question
The lyrics in Orphee’s Cry’s song “What If?” convey a sense of desperation and uncertainty in love. The singer wonders if their partner would continue to love them even if they ask for another chance, cry, or pray. The singer also expresses the feeling that the relationship must come to an end because they cannot continue to ask themselves the same fruitless question. This question, “what if?” speaks to the fear of the unknown and the idea that maybe things could be different if a different path were taken.
Throughout the song, there is a sense of emotional turmoil and hurt. The mention of lies and anger in the eyes suggest that something has happened to damage the trust in the relationship. The repetition of “What if?” emphasizes the overwhelming sense of uncertainty that the singer is experiencing. Overall, these lyrics convey the pain and confusion of not knowing whether to stay in a relationship that may bring heartache or to move forward and risk the unknown.
