Brother I don't claim to know the true calendar as I'm still searching but, there is no way a biblical day starts at even. For goodness sake, Ahayah says light is known as day and darkness known as night. HE then gave you the sun to mark the day and the moon to mark the night. Does it make sense that when your body naturally wants to shut down at night you start a day? Ask yourself according to Genesis, when did Ahayah start to work? In the day, which is light because that's what he called it.
Evening plus morning is a day just as Genesis stated. It didnt say and evening through to morning is a day. The scriptures already gave you a word for the light and it was day and the word night for darkness, so why in the very next line the gonna change it those words from day and night to morning and evening? It makes no sense. It's obvious that it was being specific boy mentioning two specific parts of the day (light) that formed a day. Morning is from sunrise to noon and evening is from noon to sunset. Night is after twilight when there is no light. Now it makes sense when in John 11:9 Jesus said, and im paraphrasing here, are there not 12 (twelve) hours in a day? Remember day and night are separated. You can't put the two together and call it a day although for a new day to come, the day must pass and the night must pass (24 hr period).
Just to prove that the day and night are separated, how long did Jesus fast for? Was it not 40 days and 40 nights? Why didn't it just say forty days? How long was Jonah in the fish belly? Was it not 3 days and 3 night? Why not just say 3 days since they are together? How long was Jesus dead for? Wasn't it 3 days and 3 nights? The point is, they had to be specific because if they only said three days or forty days, that would mean that they only were in their predicament in the day and by night they were not as the day and night are separated.
Its not that hard.
BTW, if you read exodus 16, you will see when a day starts, it can't get any clearer than that.
With regards to the day of atonement you can see that there are two different days there. How hard is that to see? It says start your affliction or fasting at even on the 9th. So we are to be fasting at sunset on the ninth at even, from even, unto even, which would be sunset the next day. Notice it did not say sunset to sunset is a day. If that was the case, then you people who believe the day starts at sunset and ends at sunset will still be in the 9th day and it's not until sunset when the new day begins, which would be the 10th for you and it clearly says that the day of atonement isnt until the tenth. You are in error.
All that scripture was saying is, start fasting from sunset on the 9th and don't stop until sunset but don't trip, the day of atonement isnt until the tenth, when the sun rises and just like Jesus said, there are 12 hrs in a day. To add to that, we know that the sun rules the day. So If you don't see light or the sun it's not a day. It's that simple.
I mean, I dont understand the calendar yet but how could one understand a calendar and not know when a say starts?
That's why I don't don't join groups or hold people up. Everybody has some truth but nobody has all the truth.

Thanks this was so enlightening. You have explained this beautifully. I had seen those excel sheets of the Enoch solar only calendars (I must say they are almost so convincing and painstakingly done but as I know the truth now, are incorrect). I had been using the Hillel 2 calendar till date. Now I know when to keep the weekly sabbaths as well according to the new moon every month.

Brother, I just started reading the Third Testament, and on-page 171:79 The Spirit of Truth testifies himself that Sabbath was Saturday. It's true the calendar has been tampered with, but the seven-day cycle never been broken. Two good documents to research is the "Songs of the Sabbath Sacrifice" and "Historical Evidence for Yahshua and the Shabbat. If you find something to reproof this let me know your brother in Christ
