At the end of the 1997, the sisters won the New-Artist category for the song Amici Come Prima at the Sanremo Festival. After which they soon released their first album.
Chiara Iezzi was born on February 27, 1973, with blonde hair and blue eyes. Paola Iezzi was born on March 30, 1974, with dark hair and a dark complexion.
The two sisters were very close while growing up and treated each other like twins. They would wear each other's clothes and had the same taste in fashion, music and many other things. Chiara went to an artistic school and Paola went to a classic school. The sisters formed their first music group called The Elefunky which specialized in funk music. They played in various clubs in Milan and were noticed by Claudio Cecchetto who was feverishly looking for a group that would help known artist Max Pezzali.
The sisters left the club scene and joined up with Max Pezzali and played at many Festival Bars in Italy. They became a part of a group called 883, and the sisters played the guitar and trombone. The group released the album "La donna, il sogno ed il grande incubo". After a big tour to promote the album, the sisters decided to become solo artists.
The sisters visited Ireland after seeing the movie, "Braveheart", because they wanted to visit the locations where the movie was shot. The trip was an inspiration to both and gave them a feeling of real freedom. The sisters returned to Ireland again and were inspired to write many song.
They decided to participate in the Sanremo New-talent search in 1996. The song In Viaggio (In Transit) led the sisters to win the contest in which they gained new fans and admiration.
In July 2013, the duo released the album Giungla, which also features rappers Razza Krasta and Moreno. Shortly after the release of the album, they announced their separation.[2]

Paola & Chiara Lyrics

Dice la gente
Anche se adesso
Non sei contenta per niente
Nina con tante persone
Hai molte cose in comune
Tu invece ti chiudi dietro tutte le porte,
Con la tua chiave
Che cadrà in 1000 pezzi ogni volta
Che si tirerà indietro
Nina hai negli occhi le stelle
Ma tieni strette anche quelle
Se solo provassi a lasciare libero
Il mondo che hai dentro di te
Forse che nella tua testa
È un'occasione già persa
Perché quando è ora di fare
Ti ritrovi ancora a rimproverare te
Ricorda Nina è quel fiore di vetro
Che cadrà in 1000 pezzi se ogni volta farà
Un passo indietro
Sola starai
Se dici ancora no no
Ma so che continuerà a camminare
È già andata via
Ripartita senza quasi neanche
Salutare
Ma Nina è come un bel fiore di vetro
Che cadrà in 1000 pezzi se ogni volta farà
Un passo indietro
The song "Nina" by Paola & Chiara is a ballad about a girl named Nina who is struggling to open up to the world around her. The lyrics suggest that Nina is constantly being told what to do by others, but doesn't seem to be happy with any of it. Despite being surrounded by people who have similar experiences and interests, Nina prefers to keep herself isolated behind closed doors. It's implied that Nina is afraid to let the world see the real her, as though she believes that by doing so, she will be judged harshly.
The song also highlights the fact that Nina has a world inside her that she refuses to share with others. She is fiercely protective of her personal experiences, to the point that she hoards even her own dreams and desires. The lyrics suggest that her fear of failure is the reason she continues to hold herself back, even though somewhere deep down, she knows she wants to take risks and try new things.
In the end, the message of the song seems to be that if Nina continues to hold herself back, she will end up alone. While the lyrics admittedly paint a somewhat bleak picture, they serve as a warning to anyone who might be afraid to show the world the real them, and as an encouragement to take the leap and live life to its fullest.
