In 1971 Pappo's Blues recorded its first album, called simply "Pappo's Blues". The second one, "Pappo's Blues Volumen 2" was recorded in 1972. By the time in which they recorded the third album (Pappo's Blues Volumen 3), there had been two changes in the group: David Lebón (bass) left, his place taken by C.A. Machi Ruffino, and Black Amaya was replaced by Pomo.
The recording of Pappo's Blues Volumen 4 was marked by the return of David Lebón and Black Amaya and the incorporation of Alejandro Medina.
On the same year the discographic company edited "Triángulo" and in 1975 "Pappo's Blues Volumen 6" with songs that had already been recorded, in which Pappo played with Eduardo Barbagnatti and Eduardo Beaudoux.
In 1978 Pappo, this time with Alejandro Medina playing bass and Darío Fernandez with the drums, recorded Pappo's Blues Volumen 7.
On November 14th 1980 the band officially dissolved, but "Pappo's band" kept playing occasionally.
The band recorded Hombre Suburbano in 1994; Caso Cerrado in 1995 and Auto Rojo in 1998.

El Viejo
Pappo's Blues Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
The Pappo's Blues song El Viejo is a contemplation on the human experience of aging, and the feelings of insecurity and reflection that often come with it. The lyrics describe the singer's introspection when faced with their own aging appearance in the mirror, questioning what it means and what their purpose is at this stage of life. The repetition of the line "Qué es lo que pasa, me estoy viniendo viejo" (What is happening, I am getting old) emphasizes the sense of unease and uncertainty the singer experiences, unsure of what comes next.
Despite this, the singer asserts their basic goodness and intention to live life to the fullest. The line "Yo soy un hombre bueno, lo que pasa es que me estoy viniendo viejo" (I am a good man, what is happening is that I am getting old) conveys a sense of frustration and resignation, as if the singer wishes they could hold on to their youthful energy but knows that it is impossible. However, they resolve to either do things in their own time or not worry about their body's limitations, acknowledging that age is just a number and the spirit remains the same.
