Young
Pavvla Lyrics

im happy and sad at the same time
its 2: 00 am outside my room
but here it feels like afternoon
God knows what the future holds
and the present doesnt look good anymore
so why not live in the past
How did we get to this?
When we were young
we thought we had eachother
making promises
to break them when we needed to
I used to say
Fight for every lost soul
show them what it's like to be at home
everything was possible
when we were young
Now this is my life
my mind has gone numb
we said it wouldnt change
well baby it has
How did we get to this?
When we were young
we thought we had eachother
making promises
to break them when we needed to
I used to say
Fight for every lost soul
show them what it's like to be at home
everything was possible
when we were young
We thought we could change the colour of the sky
When we were young
we thought we had eachother
making promises
to break them when we needed to
I used to say
Fight for every lost soul
show them what it's like to be at home
everything was possible
when we were young
The lyrics of Pavvla's song "Young" seem to be about the bittersweet memories of the past as contrasted with the present predicament. The singer is stuck in a state of mixed emotions, feeling happy and sad at the same time. It's 2:00 am outside her room, yet, inside, it feels like the afternoon. The future seems uncertain, and the present doesn't look promising either, so she finds solace in dwelling on past memories where things were better. She wonders how things came to be this way, reminiscing about a time when they were young and promised to always have each other.
As the song progresses, the singer looks back on those promises of always being there for each other and how they were ready to fight for every lost soul. Back then, everything seemed possible. Now, everything has changed, and she feels numb. The part about changing the color of the sky seems to be symbolic of how they believed they could make anything happen, even the impossible.
Overall, the song is about nostalgia, lost dreams, and disillusionment that comes with growing up. It's about coming to terms with the fact that things don't always work out the way we thought they would. The lines "making promises to break them when we needed to" suggest that sometimes, it's okay to let go of promises from the past and accept how things have turned out.

So this my life
I am currently experiencing my life
im happy and sad at the same time
I feel contrasting emotions simultaneously
its 2: 00 am outside my room
It is currently 2:00 am where I am located
but here it feels like afternoon
However, my internal perception of time does not match the external reality
God knows what the future holds
The future is unknown and unpredictable
and the present doesnt look good anymore
The current circumstances do not seem favorable
so why not live in the past
Therefore, it may be tempting to focus on past memories
where good memories last
Because those memories are more positive and comforting
How did we get to this?
I am currently reflecting on how my present situation came to be
When we were young
In the past, specifically when we were younger
we thought we had eachother
We believed that we had each other's support and companionship
making promises
We made commitments to each other
to break them when we needed to
But in reality, we were willing to break those promises if it suited our needs
I used to say
In the past, I had a particular perspective
Fight for every lost soul
I believed in helping those who were struggling
show them what it's like to be at home
By providing support and comfort, I hoped to create a sense of belonging
everything was possible
I had a positive outlook and believed that anything was achievable
Now this is my life
Currently, this is my life situation
my mind has gone numb
I am feeling emotionally drained and disconnected
we said it wouldnt change
We previously believed that our situation would not shift
well baby it has
But that has proven to be untrue and the situation has shifted
We thought we could change the colour of the sky
In the past, we believed that we had significant control over our surroundings

@dragonballinfinito
@MuSiCBoYaS
@Dragon Ball Infinito Partiendo de Nilufer Yanya - The Florist que comente antes, tenemos a Mow - Pan, EX:RE - The Dazzler, Alpine - Villages, Soak - Knock Me Off My Feet, Marika Hackman - Bath Is Black, Stella Donnelly - Beware of the Dogs, The Dumplings - Man Pregnant, Tops - Change of Heart.... y de BCN aunque cambiando de genero, tienes a Ferran Palau - Sera Un Abisme.
@GwinnyMusic
Found myself humming this today, had to come back and stick it on repeat :)
@mardelplata06
