Pennywise's current line-up consists of Jim Lindberg (vocals), Fletcher Dragge (guitars), Randy Bradbury (bass) and Byron McMackin (drums). They had kept their original line-up together until bassist Jason Thirsk died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound in 1996, due to issues with his alcoholism, after which Bradbury joined as his replacement. In August 2009, Lindberg decided to leave the band; he was replaced in February 2010 by Ignite singer Zoli Téglás. With Téglás, the band recorded their tenth studio album All or Nothing, which was released on May 1, 2012. Lindberg rejoined the band later that year after Téglás was sidelined by a back injury.

Pennywise Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
You got the power to choose, you got the right to be
All the things you loathe, all the things you hate
Is what you will become unless you will go straight
All the things denied, the shit you can't believe
You don't blame yourself, you blame society
All the things in life that you've been waiting for
Wait outside your door
[Chorus]
All your problems won't go away
I guess this is the price you pay
Your decisions you will soon regret
Throw away your life, go straight ahead
It's your fucking life
I see you every day, wasting your time away
You got no respect, got nothing good to say
All the things you loathe, all the things you hate
Is what you will become unless you will go straight
All the things in life, all that you wanna be
But you don't even try, you want it all for free
All the things in life that you've been waiting for
Wait outside your door
[Chorus]
All the things you want, all the things you need
You got the power to choose, you got the right to be
All the things you loathe, all the things you hate
Is what you will become unless you will go straight
All the things denied, the shit you can't believe
You don't blame yourself, you blame society
All the things in life that you've been waiting for
Wait outside your door
[Chorus]
The lyrics of Pennywise's "Straight Ahead" convey that individuals have control over their lives and are responsible for their own decisions. The song warns that those who waste their time and blame society for their problems will become the things they hate and will soon regret their decisions. The chorus suggests that one must make responsible choices and take control of their lives to avoid regret, as no one else can do it for them.
The lyrics emphasize the importance of personal responsibility, self-determination, and perseverance. They urge listeners not to wait for success to come knocking on the door, but rather to take active steps towards achieving their goals. The song's message is relevant to all individuals who struggle with self-doubt or apathy and encourages them to take control of their lives and embrace their power to choose their own destiny.

Probably the best album of Pennywise...it brings me good memories, 1999 and my 20 years...I used to listen a lot this and Bury the Hatchet of the Cranberries, quite different, but quality music too...

Pennywise killed it with one masterpiece album after another. Unknown Road, About Time, Full Circle and Straight Ahead could all be considered the best album from one of the best Punk Rock bands of all time.
