A different Pensive was a melodic rock quartet from San Diego California founded in 2000 by high school friends Julio Godoy (vocals, rhythm guitar) and Patrick Smith (lead guitar). Pensive self-released their full length album Artifacts in 2007 as well as two previous EPs, Something About the Stars in 2003 and Kids These Days in 2002. They disbanded in 2010. Patrick Smith went on to join the band Everybody Knows in 2013 and formed a solo project called Subducted in 2019.
