Lat's Call It Off
Peter Bjorn and John Lyrics

Did you remember what happened before
It just didn't sparkle it just didn't glow
Some things are not better inside of the store
Did you agree we should let it bee
And did you agree
It's a must
Will you still have enough of us
Let's call the whole thing off
Will you still have enough of us
I know many people who act the same way
Relations that lasted for more than one day
But I don't wanna know why we couldn't do more
Some thing are not better to leave unexplored
Did you agree we should let it bee
And did you agree
It's a must
Let's call the whole thing off
Will you still have enough of us
Let's call the whole thing off
Will you still have enough of us
The lyrics to Peter Bjorn & John's song Let's Call It Off describe a relationship that has failed to live up to its potential. The singer is asking their partner if they remember the mistakes they made in the past and recognizes that sometimes things are best left unexplored. The chorus suggests that they should end things because they have had enough of each other. This decision seems mutual, as both parties agree that it is necessary to move on.
The singer acknowledges that they have seen other relationships fail in the same way, but they do not want to dwell on why they couldn't make it work. It seems as though there is a sense of resignation and acceptance that this relationship just wasn't meant to be. The emotion in the song is bittersweet, with a touch of sadness and regret mixed with a sense of relief that the cycle of hope and disappointment is finally coming to an end.
Overall, the lyrics to Let's Call It Off deal with the complexities and uncertainties of human relationships. The song captures the sadness and confusion that often come with the end of a relationship, while also conveying a sense of acceptance and moving on.

This song is a good one for individuals trying to overcome alcohol addiction, if one interprets his references/what he is talking about as a personification of alcohol.

The nostalgia on this is intense for me. Takes me back to 2007 and my early 20's, there was so much great indie music going around and this song and album was fresh then and still today. One of my favorites.

Dreamy and beautiful, with the typical melancholy, self-conscious indie rock sound of the mid-2000s. A nice blast to the past. Makes me feel sad listening to this.
