To anything that I say
I only eat veggies
Don't want stuff that's dead
We talk about you
But tell me do you even care
About all of the people that hang out here
And where your mind at
Obvious this was a big mistake
And I don't like it
You've gotta flex , and stretch
So keep asking those questions
Put your mind to the test
You've gotta flex and stretch
Keep up the conversation
You've gotta be at your best
Hey My friend, I think you got it all wrong
You're coming on too strong
You've gotta listen to what people say
You've gotta give it if you wanna take
You've gotta flex
Flex and stretch
Pikes's song "Flex & Stretch" talks about the importance of being genuine and true to oneself. The artist refers to a person who is not paying attention to what he's saying and is fake in his approach. He mentions that he is careful with his food choices and eats only veggies, which is a reflection of his personality. However, the other person is not concerned about such things and is not interested in genuine conversation. Pikes urges the person to put his mind to the test, show genuine interest in the conversation, and be at his best.
Further, Pikes highlights the importance of being a good listener and taking people's words seriously. He mentions that the person is coming on too strong and needs to be careful with his approach. Pikes emphasizes that one needs to give it to take it in a conversation. In conclusion, the song "Flex & Stretch" promotes authenticity, genuine conversation, and the importance of being a good listener.
