In the Garden
Plum Jam Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
In the garden we sewed
I don't know
If they're still growing
I still find
Coffee stains on my mind
Even when I try
These fields were mine
And those old dusty cars outside
They're all intertwined
Painting strokes on the artwork inside my mind
Take that old train line
To the next stop in town there's a beautiful fire
I'm not saying I miss it
I just knew it was mine
Leave my soul
In the garden, we'll go
Chase our old ghost, find our story
Mystery unfolds like a maze in the backyard
It's a beckoning star, carry me carry me carry
These trees were mine
And those green poison ivy vines
Now they're walls of white
Once a child's inner wonder now a pain on the eyes
Take your hand in mine
We're discovering new worlds in old fashioned times
Can you see the past
Can you feel the light
The song "In The Garden" by Plum Jam talks about the memories and emotions attached to a garden that was once sewn by the singer. The lines "Weeds grow tall, In the garden we sewed, I don't know, If they're still growing" hint at the confusion and uncertainty about the present state of the garden. The singer continues to reminisce about the garden with lines like "These fields were mine, And those old dusty cars outside, They're all intertwined, Painting strokes on the artwork inside my mind". The reference to old dusty cars outside indicates that the garden was perhaps an abandoned area that was given new life through the singer's efforts.
The lyrics "Coffee stains on my mind, Even when I try, To leave them all behind" imply that the memories associated with the garden have become an indelible part of the singer's mind. The singer's attachment to the garden is evident in the line "I'm not saying I miss it, I just knew it was mine". The garden seems to have provided a sense of ownership and belonging to the singer. The lines "Leave my soul, In the garden, we'll go, Chase our old ghost, find our story" suggest a desire to visit the garden once again and relive the memories associated with it.
The song's theme seems to be about the attachment to a place, the memories, and emotions associated with it. It highlights the beauty in the mundane, and how overlooked areas can hold deep significance for people.

i have to say this respectfully to you "these are not canning jars to water bath canning with!"
these jars that you present are jars that are good for other things that we use to preserve with but not water bath canning
like using alcohol with fruit. or using honey on top of herbs, or dry goods -but NOT water bath canning!
these jars are not safe to use in the water bath caner -these jars that your using is called "bale jars" or also known as " le parfait"
great to use IF your making a jam or jelly and your gonna put it into the fridge quickly or for putting food your going to eat in a day or so but NOT for
long shelf life storage.
i know because i too made this mistake and when i tried to can my own jam -i was told it wont work and i had to read up on it as well!
still.. great for using with alcohol ,quick pickles, dry goods .
good recipe though!~SO JEALOUS OF YOUR KITCHEN!!!!
