It's All Gone
Project-X Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Underneath the skin - Crawling sin
The bloodred eyes - Filled of fear
Burst out in tears

No one will save you
Beneath the surface of life
No helping hands to hold
As you fall
Wasted visions from a life beyond
Nothing is left - It's all gone

And the shadow of the figures
Prevents your sights from being clear
All these no good meassures
Always near - Almost there
Always so near
Denying reality - Refuse the facts
Alone with the dawn
You'll suffer from the acts
And the haunting sun reveal you fears
Once more bursting out into tears

No one will save you
Beneath the surface of life
No helping hands to hold
As you fall

Wasted visions from a life beyond
Nothing is left - It's all gone

Overall Meaning

The song "It's All Gone" by Project-X appears to be about the feeling of isolation, fear, and despair. The opening lines, "Underneath the skin - Crawling sin, The bloodred eyes - Filled of fear, Burst out in tears" describe a physical response to some sort of internal pain. The singer is crying in fear and there is a sense of hopelessness in their tears.

The following lines, "No one will save you, Beneath the surface of life, No helping hands to hold, As you fall, Wasted visions from a life beyond, Nothing is left - It's all gone" add to this sense of despair. The singer feels alone and unsupported, as if no one will come to their aid. The idea that their life is "wasted" and that "it's all gone" only adds to the sense of hopelessness.

The third stanza talks about being unable to see things clearly because of the shadow of figures. These "figures" are likely symbolic of some sort of obstacle or challenge, which prevent the singer from seeing things clearly. There is a sense that despite being "almost there", the singer can't quite reach what they need. The last two lines are particularly telling: "Denying reality - Refuse the facts, Alone with the dawn, You'll suffer from the acts." Here, the singer is avoiding dealing with reality and the challenges they are facing, which will ultimately lead to suffering in the future.

The final stanza repeats the opening stanza, which creates a circular feeling, as if the singer is trapped in the same cycle of pain, fear, and hopelessness. The "haunting sun" reveals the singer's fears but also seems to offer a sense of hope - if only momentarily. The fact that the singer bursts out into tears once again suggests that their pain and despair are ongoing.

Overall, "It's All Gone" is a powerful and emotional song that speaks to the pain of feeling unsupported and alone in the face of challenging circumstances.
