Quantice Never Crashed are a 5 piece Screamo/band from Staten Island, New York. They were originally formed under the name Howard Finster (who was a deceased folk artist). However, by request of Howard Finster's family, they changed their name to QNC. The original members were Philly, Phil, John, Vinny and Mikey. They had a policy of only playing all ages shows and would refuse 18/21+ shows. After Mikey left in 2005, they went through two other drummers. When Philly left in 2006, the band was unable to replace him and ended up breaking up. In August 2007 the Quantice boys reunited one more time for their loyal fans in Dock Street, Staten Island. What was originally a one time thing ended up being the glue that brought the band back together. After pleas from hundreds of fans the guys decided it was time to give it another shot. They are currently playing shows in the NYC area.

Quantice Never Crashed Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Set yourself on fire if you can't feel this burn.
Did you run out of ink so soon?
Let my roots be my guide- and my heart as my eyes.
This light will lead you home.
There's not enough apathy in my soul: my heart refuses to grow cold.
Just remember- you could fake this feeling forever.
If my dreams must die, let them die in me, for the sake of understanding what I could not see.
For what I'll never say, for what I'll never be: this was never for you, it was always for me.
You'll never see: We're just flesh after all.
The first line of Quantice Never Crashed's song Lighthouses suggests that the ties between people can feel like a burden when they restrict your actions and emotions. The phrase "bound by boundless insignificance" emphasizes the idea that feeling tied down can be frustrating when it seems like there's no real reason for it. The next line urges the listener to "set yourself on fire" if they can't feel the "burn" - this could be interpreted as a call to action, to ignite passion and purpose within oneself. It could also suggest that feeling burnt out or unfulfilled is akin to being dead or extinguished. The line "Did you run out of ink so soon?" follows, which could be a metaphor for running out of inspiration or ideas.
The next line, "Let my roots be my guide- and my heart as my eyes," is a beautiful expression of trusting one's inner voice and intuition rather than external pressures or influences. The idea of roots suggests connecting with one's heritage or ancestry, and the heart as the eyes means seeing things clearly through an emotional lens. The chorus asserts that the light being referenced will lead the person home - this could be literal or metaphorical, but either way it suggests that there is hope and guidance to be found. The next line, "There's not enough apathy in my soul," implies that the singer cares deeply and passionately about something, and refuses to give up or lose that fire. Then, they caution that "you could fake this feeling forever," meaning that it's possible to go through the motions without truly feeling alive or engaged.
