Miracle story with this song:
It was a very sad morning for my family and I when a woodpecker bird fell over for dead when it hit a window on my cabin. Woodpeckers have been very special to us as a blessing encouragement from the Lord, so with that, it was even more distressing. I cried as my dad held him in his hands, and my mom laid hands on him, asking Jesus if this special little bird could live.
They laid him in a box with grass and water. My mom encouraged me with Jesus' words... " Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows." Matthew 10: 29-31 I knew from experience that I had to trust the Lord, even when the answer to our prayer may be "no".
My husband checked on him throughout the day. ( I didn't have the heart to see the little bird dead) Later that evening, in search of encouragement I opened youtube and this was the first song in my feed. I had never heard of the artist, but was led to click. I started listening, but was distracted and didn't get to listen.
9 hours later, because it was late I asked my mom to set the bird box higher so the dogs would not get to it. " He's not in here" she said. "What do you mean?" I asked back. "He's not there?" " No, he's not here" she replied. I quickly asked my dad and husband, "Did you guys move the woodpecker?" They said no, he was in the box on the deck! I immediately knew that God had raised him up!!!!! Mom's prayer was answered! With outstretched hands, and tears, and gratefulness, I cried my thanks to Jesus for the amazing miracle he allowed us to witness!!! Praise the Lord!!! I also immediately was led to come back to this song titled " Rise Up" ! I was in amazement, and tears again when she sang the line... Rise up rise up, with healing in your wings, to make a way where there is no way. Rise up rise up, bring life into lifelessness. Rise up rise up! 😭Wow! What amazing conformation of the Lord's healing and raising the bird up!
As you can imagine, we were so encouraged, having this experience of God's power right before our eyes. I know the Lord allowed all this to happen for a reason. I wanted to share this story in hopes to encourage all of you who read this comment and hear this song... that whatever you're going through right now...the Lord sees, and knows. There is nothing out of His control. He cares for the little things in our lives, oh how he LOVES us, how he yearns to show us His goodness, how he longs to be our savior and friend. He makes a way where there is no way. He will fight for YOU.
