You're Lost
Rare Bird Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Time alone, you stop and stare
In a maze I′m watching you over there
In the meantime sugar, don't pull out your hair, yeah
′Cause you're lost, ooh, yeah

And as you're watching the world go by
I′ve had a good time baby, now I must fly, yeah
And so long and bye bye bye
And you′re lost, yeah lost, ooh and you're lost

Think of all the times you drove me too far
Drove me too hard, baby you′re nowhere

And as you're watching the world go by
I′ve had a good time baby, now I must fly
And so long, bye bye bye

And you're lost, yes you′re lost and you're lost
Oh-ooh lost, baby you're lost, baby you′re lost

If you want to know what
diamond cut musical precision
sounds like,look no further.
You have arrived.
No cacophony,or crescendo
but rather,
a seamless intricate silk web
of interplay majesty, forming
an otherworldly tapestry of
sheer brilliance of
sound vibration,
accelerando tempo
through an epic forest.

This song is pure, unadulterated genius. I had one of those great moments where you walk into a record store and a song is on the turntable which just rips your head around. Shouting over the extended outro to Rikki, I thought he said "Your Loss". When it finally epically rushed to a conclusion I asked if he had a spare copy as I was blown away. He didn't, but I'll have to try and track down that elusive 7" which plays at 33rpm or indeed just buy the album Epic Forest. What a song. I can't believe Rare Bird aren't well known, in a way the name fits... not a lot of people know about/have experienced them.
