Find
Re-Locate feat. M.I.D.O.R. Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Knew that it was wrong the first night I met you
When I sneaked back into bed and you said, "I love you"
Up in this house, blood runs cold
Secret codes, are all we know

We gotta tear it all down, set it on fire
Watch it burn to the ground, it kills us just a little
But a little's alright, 'cause, oh, it ain't forever
You'll find someone, find someone who loves you better
Yeah, you'll find someone, find someone who loves you better
Babe, you'll find the one, you'll find someone

Your friends have always liked me but I told you that you shouldn't listen
'Cause picking wings off of angels, has always been my religion
You been stickin' 'round far too long
And I've been runnin' 'round and it just feels wrong

We gotta tear it all down, set it on fire
Watch it burn to the ground, it kills us just a little
But a little's alright, 'cause, oh, it ain't forever
You'll find someone, find someone who loves you better
Yeah, you'll find someone, find someone who loves you better
Babe, you'll find the one, you'll find someone

We gotta tear it all down, set it on fire
Watch it burn to the ground, it kills us just a little
But a little's alright, 'cause, oh, it ain't forever
You'll find someone, find someone who loves you better
Whoa, babe, you'll find someone

Yeah, someone who could love you better
Whoa, babe, you'll find the one, you'll find someone

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to "Find" by Re-Locate feat. M.I.D.O.R. speak of the pain and struggle of being in a toxic relationship. The singer knew from the beginning that it was wrong to be with this person, but despite that, there is still a strong emotional connection that is difficult to break free from. The lines "Up in this house, blood runs cold" and "Secret codes, are all we know" suggest a sense of isolation and unease in the relationship.

However, the singer realizes that they need to move on, and the chorus emphasizes the necessity of letting go - "We gotta tear it all down, set it on fire, Watch it burn to the ground, it kills us just a little, But a little's alright, 'cause, oh, it ain't forever." The metaphor of burning down the relationship is a powerful one, indicating that it may be painful and difficult to end things, but it is ultimately necessary for both parties to find happiness and love elsewhere. The chorus ends with the hopeful refrain of "You'll find someone, find someone who loves you better."

The second verse takes a slightly different perspective, with the singer acknowledging that others may have seen the toxicity of the relationship before they did. A line that stands out is "Picking wings off of angels, has always been my religion," suggesting that the singer may have a history of hurting those who are pure or innocent - but also perhaps hinting that they are ready to break free from that tendency. The verse ends with the acknowledgement that things need to end - "You been stickin' 'round far too long, And I've been runnin' 'round and it just feels wrong."

Overall, "Find" is a powerful song about the complexities of unhealthy love, and the difficulty of letting go of something that once felt so strong. However, it also emphasizes the need to move on, and the hope that comes with the promise of finding love elsewhere.

Such a dam shame he is actually retiring from DJing. For those of you lucky to lucky to be at his very last show, take it all in for me. Got his new CD 💿 as well. This was the very first track I ever heard of his when I came across him in the old MySpace days and this will be the one I blast after he calls it quits. One of his best works he ever made and is still a fire🔥 Trance track even till this day. Him and this track were truly ahead of their time.
