2. Groove/Thrash Metal band from San Francisco, California. Formed in 1994. The band is split up. Released one album entitled "End of the Light" in 1995 on Century Media records. It's sound is typical 90's post-thrash metal, although slower and more atmospheric with less emphasis on stop-start rythms as more popular 90's metal/groove bands such as Pantera, Machine Head, and Fear Factory. Has the gloom of Alice in Chains with a mature, slamming approach and delivery that did not appeal enough to the younger crowd and did not sell well.

Release Lyrics

I'm simply waiting for
The start of a new space
Then maybe i'll ask what i want to ask
Because it's so not so nice to be known
Always biting on your tongue
In "Day after Day" by Release, the lyrics delve into the concept of patience and waiting for a fresh start. The singer is patiently anticipating the beginning of a new space, a metaphorical representation of a new phase or opportunity in life. This could refer to a relationship, a career, or any other aspect where one is seeking change and growth.
The next line suggests that once this new space arrives, the singer will feel more comfortable expressing themselves and asking the questions they've been holding back. The notion of it not being "so nice to be known" implies that the singer has been suppressing their true thoughts or feelings. Perhaps they have been censoring themselves or staying silent to maintain peace or avoid conflict. However, with the arrival of this new space, they feel empowered to break their silence and speak their mind.
Overall, the lyrics capture the theme of patiently waiting for change and growth, and the liberation that comes with expressing oneself honestly. It emphasizes the importance of not always biting one's tongue and the potential consequences of holding back.

I'm simply waiting for
I am eagerly awaiting
The start of a new space

Then maybe I'll ask what I want to ask
Perhaps I will gather the courage to inquire about what I truly desire
Because it's so not so nice to be known
Being fully understood can sometimes be unpleasant
Always biting on your tongue
Frequently restraining oneself from speaking up

Very melodic track. I like it. It does not have this typical drum n bass pattern, but it is still awesome. I also like the little wobble that comes and goes later in the track. I am waiting for more from this guy. Beautiful work : )
