On August 6, 2002, the band released their first full-length album entitled Hurry Up and Wait. The first single "I Feel Fine" became a quick success and was also featured in the 2002 movie Orange County. Additionally, the song "Pick Up the Pieces" was featured on the soundtrack for the video game ATV Offroad Fury 2, and in the movie Extreme Ops.
After touring heavily for two years, the band released their second album Stop the World on October 22, 2004. Unfortunately, this would mark the decline of the band. After touring for five years to support their two albums the band began to feel quite "burned out."
In August 2005, the band agreed to break up. Due to the quiet and sudden breakup of the band, most fans were unaware of the split. However the breakup was confirmed both on their official website and MySpace.
Following the break-up, Johnson formed the rock band New Disaster with Keel on drums. New Disaster released their first album mixed by Andy Johns and entitled Last Night Rites in February 2008 and then quickly released their follow up album Automanic in late 2009. Baker is currently working on a project entitled "Vegas Bomb", previously named "Twenty Questions" previously named "Clint's Junior Orchestra". Stroud formed Say Hello to the Angels, and is in the process of recording their debut album.
Baker also had a cameo appearance in the FOX hit TV show House. In addition, Paul Ebersold, the producer for two of the Riddlin' Kids' albums, helped to record the demos tracks for Baker's new project. Some of these songs may be part of the soundtrack for the new movie Weekend Junkies.
Talk Of The Town

And he looks me in the face
And he tells me bout this girl that took him home
And there's this girl and she says
That she's never been with him
And she tells me things that I don't want to know
There's a warning inside going off in my mind
You won't get me this time to forget about it
[Chorus]
I know there's better things to talk about
And I believe that you're looking for so mis-romance
And I say that you don't know what you're talkin bout
And I can see so just pass is on to someone else
And say it's just the talk of the town
Week goes by and I ran into the guy
And he says that he heard I was with his girl
Well I carefully replanned
I'll just quickly wink and smile
I don't want to involved in drama world
There's a warning inside going off in my mind
You won't get me this time to forget about it
[Chorus]
Did you hear what he said she said?
Did you hear what they said we said?
I don't want to know
don't tell me
I don't really care what they say
I don't want to know
What they say
I don't really care
don't tell me
[Chorus]
The lyrics of Riddlin' Kids's song Talk Of The Town are essentially about rumors and gossip. The singer describes overhearing a conversation about a guy and a girl who supposedly spent the night together, but then hears another version of events from the girl herself, contradicting what was said earlier. The singer is torn between wanting to know the truth and not wanting to get involved in any drama. He ultimately decides that the rumors aren't worth the energy and tells the person spreading them to pass them on to someone else.
The opening verses of the song show how rumors spread quickly, and how they can harm people's reputations. The singer is warned by his intuition that what he's hearing is most likely not the whole truth. The chorus emphasizes the idea that there are more important things to talk about than the personal lives of others, and questions why people are so interested in gossip in the first place.
The final verse of the song seems to tie everything together. The singer has a realization that he doesn't need to know everything that people are saying about him or the people around him. He doesn't want to get caught up in the whirlwind of rumors and hearsay. In summary, Talk Of The Town is a song about the triviality of spreading rumors and the importance of ignoring them altogether.
