Parece mentira

no me imaginaba cuanto te queria
no te dije nada
porque yo pensaba que tu volverias
ese tonto orgullo
por estar segura que tu me querias
me dijo en la vida medigando
amor me dejo sufriendo conoci el dolor
cosas que tiene la vida
cosas que tiene el amor
parece mentira
que pasan los dias, las noches y nada,te sigo queiriendo
parece mentira
que no cicatrice la herida que tengo
me sigue doliendo
parece mentira
que no siendo mio te quiera yo tanto
como estoy queriendo
que me vuelva loca
y busque en las copas ahogar mi
tristeza y el amor que tengo
The lyrics of Rocío Dúrcal's song "Parece Mentira" tell the story of a woman who realizes how much she loves someone only after that person has left her. She reflects on her own foolish pride, which prevented her from expressing her feelings fully before it was too late. She has come to understand that love is unpredictable, and that even when we think we are certain of our own emotions, we can be proven wrong. She has been left to suffer the pain of lost love, and while she tries to drown her sorrows in alcohol, she knows that nothing can ease the ache of her broken heart.
The lyrics also explore the complexities of love and relationships. The woman realizes that even though the person she loves is no longer hers, she still loves him deeply. She cannot help but keep wanting him, even if it seems impossible. The song portrays the desperation and helplessness that often come with the territory of love. It is a poignant reminder that sometimes, no matter how hard we try, we cannot control our own emotions, and that love can be both beautiful and painful.
