@LustCast they have done it and as always they just choose carefully to who they do it.
Woodman can be a clear example of this. Some people speak wonders of him - people I know personally- and some others speak badly about him with to be fair a very valid point. Many producers are good at reading who can be taken advantage of or not. The language barrier you mention here is an essential peril in the negotiation - the less they understand the more they do for the less money -

It is not sadly only applied to women. How many things have some men had to do to get casted in prods - at least in Prague - pushing them ti accept sexual practices they are not okay with or even lowering their fees.

I know many people in this industry. I sadly don’t know a single one that has never been somehow abused in a way or another.

And the reason why the industry does not boycott as you mention is because they all do the same… it is sadly a very big part of the game of the big ones. The few decent people in this are very little to fight back and are tied to the big one because they need the traffic of the platforms - for example the people working with Lp - or the location and side advertisement - as the case of the man you mention- or getting good models and references - when it comes ti the agencies. Of which I honestly can say there is not a si how decent agency in Europe at the moment.

Aside of that. I really like this podcast and the work you are doing and I encourage you. This finally had to happen. And it shows “big balls”

In my opinion, I think there is going to be an issue for her now working in Europe. The stone she turned over was one she wanted to and felt relaxed to. But because she has redacted her views and experiences, I fell that won't impact there judgement on her from others. In fact the redaction itself could send a message to those in question that she can be manipulated or controlled. Also to note because you have never met or worked with Rocco, I do feel that you are trying to approach this situation with the actress and also a larger topic in the industry in an unbiased way because you have not pushed your personal views about people but of actions described. In my view this is a clear deliniation here. But you in turn now raise an obvious argument of should the industry from time to time reflect on itself? The answer would be yes, it is healthy.

Unless you can get the police interested (which in a country as corrupt as Hungary you'll be better off trying to fart against thunder.) You would have to get models such as Suzie Carina or any of the other models pre-2014 who have not allowed him to show their castings to speak up and say that they were filmed without their knowledge. Otherwise, you haven't got a cat in hells chance of stopping this guy.

@Perseus1275 I can say that with the help of some charities and lawyers processes for reporting these crimes to understanding police representatives is happening. The issues discussed on the podcast are very complex and often not fully understood by police. Specially due to sex worker discrimination. Plus things need to be reported in multiple countries. There are allegations in my inbox from many many people and it’s taking a long time to work through them all and get everyone support and advice that they need. At the beginning I had zero contacts or knowledge so I’ve had to build that up on the fly. I expect I will be working on this behind the scenes for the rest of this year at least. What you see here is just three extremely brave girls who have spoken publicly. This story has a long way to go yet. Sorry I can’t divulge specifics. It’s not my place to say who has or has not made police reports.

Rocco always came off as a sociopath. I only feel sorry for his family, they have a stigma they have to live with for life. I do believe the women who have to endure abuse and intimidation in an industry dominated and ran by men. Too many horror stories are being told by many others, not to be ignored. I hope more awareness is brought to it and that these women can be heard and helped. One would hope both women and men are treated as equals in whatever profession they so choose for themselves. Stay on it and don't be swayed by bad folk.

Sadly Rocco wouldn't agree to be interviewed. I met him for coffee twice and for legal reasons I felt it important to give his (shoddy) explanations for why there are videos of him sexually assaulting women. It's a shame it came across like that. I'm sure you'll agree that after the first 30 mins where I gave Rocco's opinion, it gets back to being a normal healthy conversation.

I get what you're saying about picking a side. Right now I feel I'm not anti-porn. But I am anti-abuse. But the way the porn industry is being quiet and trying to hide the abuses, it is leaning me more towards being anti-porn each day. Currently I'm calling for governement regulation.

Rocco was made famous from his shock performances at a time when it was accepted & it was a novelty fetish to abuse women. I always shyed away from it because it was disturbing but a lot of my friends and people bought it and enjoyed it. The actors obviously knew what they were getting into as he was famous for abusive rough porn. Whether or not the girls consented to the abuse they must have had some motivation for participation ie money or fame. It's not like they are under aged. Perhaps women should take some responsibility for their own decisions too. Not saying that it's ok to be abused but just that some of these girls are getting into porn for the wrong reasons. The problem is that Rocco was so famous and popular for his antics that girls approached him to perform in his productions.They want to use him for their own gain too. Unfortunately Rocco became very powerful and desensitized for his actions. It became acceptable and the norm. In some way, people who supported him by appearing in his videos or consumers who bought his content are responsible for his behaviour and encouraging him to be successful in this genre of porn. Now they are turning the gun towards him because society and Hollywood as an influence has changed it's view towards bullying, sexual abuse and discrimination. In Rocco's case it does need to be addressed and emphasized that abuse and violence is wrong BUT at the same time people are still making money or piggy backing off his fame by putting focus on him or being interested in his content. For example if you've never heard of Rocco before watching this podcast, you will most likely Google Rocco and view his content.

@John Wellington If these performers did not consent or understand that Rocco was abusive why didn't they sue him by now? He should be in jail like Harvey Weinstein. It's even captured on film as evidence he has abused them so isn't that sufficient to prosecute? This isn't the same as domestic violence in an abusive relationship. This is consented violence. The performers know beforehand Rocco has a reputation for being abusive. Ask any Hollywood actor whether they would watch or research a directors work before accepting a role or do they just take on any job given to them by their agent? At what point does an adult not take responsibility for their own decisions. When you are desperate to earn money? When you want to leverage your own fame from someone else more popular? I reiterate that I have never watched or endorsed Rocco's content and I strongly condone violence in foreplay without consent, however I don't agree that none of these performers did not give consent or gave no knowledge of what they were getting themselves into.
If you buy a gun don't blame the manufacturer after you go around shooting innocent people because you're irresponsible.

You've only heard one sided argument from this interview and have taken to it emotionally without Rocco being able to defend the accusations against him. That's not a fair trial In the US legal system. Although in hindsight we can now look back & condone the abuse & violence of this type of fetish porn, as I mentioned previously, it was widely accepted at the time. I'm definitely not saying it is right, I'm just saying that we view things very differently today to the sentiment of the past, especially in the 1980s & 1990s with regard to the mysogynistic attitudes towards women in popular culture. If there is genuine non consensual abuse then retrospective law may assist these women legally. However, I still fail to understand how a girl working in the porn industry would not realise who Rocco was before accepting the role in his films. It's like being a Hollywood actor but never heard of Tom Cruise. Being at the top of his profession he has a lot more of a reputation to defend and for a woman to easily accuse him of rape or abuse. The other thing I don't understand is more recently why books and films like 50 Shades of Grey are still popular with female audiences when the main character is a pyscopath who enacts sexual violence and mysogynistic attitudes towards women but he is considered a likeable hero? Is it because he is rich & good looking or do women just like his chauvinist behaviour?
Besides this domineering male, don't forget that men can be as much as victims of abuse as women. Look no further than the Johnny Depp case as an example that women can be just as guilty.
Also I am entitled to my opinion. Freedom of speech isn't that what the flag represents on your thumbnail? I will not be silenced or bullied.

I was going to say that I feel the US industry is very clean and has very few problems. But we do need to see what happens with the Derek Hay situation. Is it over? The story just kind of faded and LA Direct still exists so I’m not sure what happened there.
I worked in mainstream media before I moved into porn. I such much much more cocaine in that than in porn. In porn I’ve seen very little drug use and even then only socially.
