Rosi is indeed a long way from home, but certainly in the right place to showcase her unique talent for rich, dark melodies and a voice that not only draws you in, but still haunts you the next day. While living in LA, Rosi was inundated with creative lessons from violin, to voice, to acting. At 19, she decided to focus on singing and picked up her first guitar, teaching herself to play and write songs. Six weeks later, she was performing at her first open mic. Since then, Rosi has played the Acoustic Playhouse, Molly Malones, The Whiskey and Genghis Cohen in LA and The Bitter End, The Living Room, Rockwood Music Hall and CBs Gallery in NYC.
In the past few years, Rosi has worked with a number of acclaimed writers and producers from all over the world, including Jeff Cohen, Boots, Richard Cuason, Nate Campany, Tim Gordine, Richard Lobb, Pete Gordeno, Marc Swersky, Robert Conley, etc.
But its her continuing collaboration with singer/songwriter Jamie Hartman (Ben's Brother) that has yielded numerous songs, including the single “Let Me Out”, from Ben’s Brother debut CD (Relentless/EMI/Virgin). The song was recently featured on an episode of “Grey’s Anatomy”.
Rosi was recently mentioned in Billboard Magazine. She was the winner of the first ASCAP Robert Allen Award for songwriting excellence, for which she performed at Lincoln Center. Finally settled in New York, Rosi has already kick-started the momentum that launches careers.
C'est l'amour

To get a little lost, to feel alive, and reach beyond me
I walked into the first café in France I’m so cliché….
When I saw him I felt the room divide into pieces
Oh the lights danced around us just like stars in the sky
One night in Paris with a man I barely knew, I’m lost in a moment
It happened all too fast, the perfect night, for perfect strangers
The way he wrapped the curls of his mustache around his fingers
And like a little girl who’s never been to Disneyland…
When I saw him I felt the room divide into pieces
Oh the lights danced around us just like stars in the sky
One night in Paris with a man I barely knew, I’m lost in a moment
C’est La vie, C’est La chance, C’est L’amour
And when I think I about him, I wish I had it all, to do again because….
I Wanna be just like Mary so let them eat their cake
When I saw him I felt the room divide into pieces
Oh the lights danced around us just like stars in the sky
One night in Paris with a man I barely knew, I’m lost in a moment
C’est La vie, C’est La chance, C’est L’amour
In "C'est L'amour," Rosi Golan tells the story of a romantic encounter in Paris. She expresses a strong desire to break free from her mundane routine and seek out adventure, which soon leads her to the City of Love. Upon arriving, she enters a café and locks eyes with a handsome stranger, and suddenly, the room bursts into a sea of light and euphoria. Though she barely knows him, she embarks on a magical adventure with this stranger, wrapped up in the thrill of the moment.
The lyrics paint a vivid picture of a romantic escapade, but they also speak to the universal human desire for something more. Golan captures the longing for adventure, the thrill of new experiences, and the joy of surrendering oneself to the unknown. While the song hints at the fleeting nature of this romantic journey, it ultimately celebrates the power of love to transform an ordinary moment into something extraordinary.
