The Texan singer is remembered as a one-shot artist, but he actually cut many records (some under the auspices of noted producer Huey Meaux) throughout the 1960s on a confusing variety of labels. A few of these were tiny hits in the wake of "Treat Her Right," with only a couple ("Just a Little Bit" and "Apple of My Eye") sneaking into the Top 40. Quite a few of his records were dynamic, sleek hybrids (in varying degrees) of soul, rock, and country, all featuring Head's cocky, confident vocals. In a sense, though, he was damned by his versatility, not fitting comfortably into any niche or marketing plan; in any case, the tiny labels he recorded for lacked national promotional muscle. In the 1970s, after several years without success in the rock or R&B fields, Head returned to country, and landed quite a few chart hits in the arena between 1974 and 1985. Head reunited with his original band the Traits for shows in 2001 and 2007 and continued to play select gigs throughout the 21st century's first decade.

Just want a little bit
Don't want it all
Just a little bit
Give me an eeny weeny bit
A teeny weeny bit of your love
Turn your lamps down low
Slip me a kiss
I won't let you resist
I want an eeny weeny bit
A teeny weeny bit of your love
Early in the mornin'
Well just a little bit
Around midnight
Just a little bit
I want an eeny weeny bit
A teeny weeny bit of your love
Walk with me
Just a little bit
I said talk to me
Just a little bit
I want an eeny weeny bit
A teeny weeny bit of your love
I want you to remember
To say that you'll be mine
Say you'll never leave me
Till the end of time
I want an eeny weeny bit
A teeny weeny bit of your love
I want an eeny weeny bit
A teeny weeny bit of your love
The lyrics of Roy Head & The Traits' song "Just A Little Bit" convey the message of a man who's longing for only a little bit of the love of his significant other. He doesn't want the whole world but just a small part of it. He pleads for an "eeny weeny" or "teeny weeny" bit of his partner's love. The repeated use of the phrase "Just a little bit" emphasizes the idea that he's not asking for much, but just a simple gesture of affection from his lover.
The lyrics also mention the desire to be close physically with his loved one. He asks his partner to "turn your lamps down low" and "slip me a kiss", indicating a desire for intimacy. He also requests to spend more time with her, asking her to "walk with me, just a little bit" and "talk to me, just a little bit".
Overall, the lyrics of "Just A Little Bit" express a feeling of longing for love and intimacy, without being overly demanding or possessive. The song portrays the singer as someone who just desires a small part of his lover's time and affection, in a gentle and playful manner.
