All Your Love
Rush Otis Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

All the loving is loving, all the kissin' is kissing
All the loving is loving, all the kissin' is kissing
Before I met you baby, never knew what I was missing

All your love, pretty baby, that I got in store for you
All your love, pretty baby, that I got in store for you
I love you pretty baby, well I say you love me too
All your loving, pretty baby, all your loving, pretty baby
All your loving, pretty baby, all your loving, pretty baby
Since I first met you baby, I never knew what I was missing

Hey, hey baby, hey, hey baby

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, baby, oh, oh, baby
Since I first met you baby, never knew what I was missing

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Rush Otis's song "All Your Love" is about a person who is missing the love and affection of their partner. The repetition of the lines "all your love I miss loving, all your kiss I miss kissing" emphasizes the strong desire the person has for their partner. Before they met their partner, they didn't realize what they were missing and now that they have experienced their love, they cannot live without it. The second half of the song is a declaration of love from the person to their partner. The person assures their partner that they have all their love stored for them and that they know their partner loves them too.

The song portrays the passion and intensity of love that can consume a person's heart and mind. The lyrics resonate with anyone who has experienced the sweet agony of longing and heartache when separated from their beloved. La Banda del Galpón.Rock Band.
The tune does appear to be based on Otis Rush's "All your love" which was in turn based on
"Lucky Lou" by Jody Williams.
Peter Green (FMc) composed "Black Magic Woman" and also his
"I loved another woman" has its origins in this blues progression.
Carlos Santana then recorded his own version of "Black Magic woman" and made it famous
Pat Boyack a fine guitarist composed "Lovers Rhumba" based on this too.
Bob Dylan keeping music up-to-date and yet taking the good things from the past, called it "Beyond Here Lies Nothin' "
and The Rhythm Hounds played it as "Lover's Rhumble" or "Lover's Rhumba,
on their (2014) album "Mystery Walk".
