She's the One
S.H.E Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

She broke, I'm up
She don't like hesitation
Keep up, or get lost
Love my bad reputation
Don't bring your clichés
This isn't cinematic
Just get rich get laid
I'm sick of problem addicts
I'm sick of problem addicts
I thought I had it so good
Turns out I misunderstood
I'd turn back time if I could
Just to dump you sooner than I would
She broke, I'm up
She don't like hesitation
Keep up, or get lost
Love my bad reputation
Don't bring your clichés
This isn't cinematic
Just get rich get laid
I'm sick of problem addicts
I'm sick of problem addicts
Two drinks in is all it takes
Don't look back on my mistakes
Bring it back and hesitate
Loud my guns and see your face
When I get back at what you did
Ghost me twice leave you on read
When they ask what happened then
This is what I said to them
She broke, I'm up
She don't like hesitation
Keep up, or get lost
Love my bad reputation
Don't bring your clichés
This isn't cinematic
Just get rich get laid

I'm sick of problem addicts
She broke, I'm up

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to S.H.E's song "She's The One" are about moving on from a toxic relationship and taking control of one's life. The opening lines "She broke, I'm up" suggest that the singer has been hurt and is now standing up for themselves. The following line, "She don't like hesitation", emphasizes the importance of being decisive and not allowing oneself to be controlled by others.

The chorus, with its repeated lines "Love my bad reputation" and "I'm sick of problem addicts," suggests a rebellious attitude towards societal norms and the types of people that the singer has encountered in the past. The line "Don't bring your clichés / This isn't cinematic" could be interpreted as a rejection of the unrealistic expectations that are often perpetuated by the media. The lines "Two drinks in is all it takes / Don't look back on my mistakes" and "Loud my guns and see your face" hint at a desire for revenge, but the singer ultimately decides to move on and not dwell on the past.

Overall, "She's The One" is a song about empowerment and not allowing oneself to be defined by others. The singer has been hurt, but they are not going to let that define their future path. Instead, they are taking control of their life and refusing to fall into the same patterns again.

Man this song hits home. My wife and I have been together for 10 years and I've made so many mistakes, in our marriage and she's still here and stuck by my side I'm almost a year sober from alcohol and it's because of God her and my kids that I keep fighting and staying strong this song is amazing and made me tear up! I thank God for my wife every day and that he finally woke me up and saved our marriage, my grandpa was a preacher and he passed on Oct 31 of this year and I carry his words with me everyday he would have been so proud to see how fair we came after all the bad that we went through, he was laid up in the hospital since January 4th of this year and didn't get to see the changes I've/we've made together 😔 but I know he's looking down on us now I'm sure he's smiling cause he put alot of work into us with counseling. Anyway thank you Brantley for making such a great song this song most likely will be the song we dance to when we renew our vows.

Everyone has regrets unfortunately 😢I definitely have regrets with my ex- husband , divorce is hell but sometimes staying is worse than leaving so that’s when you know that it’s time to leave I just wish I’d left a lot sooner 😢
