Stormtroopers Of Death includes the famous Billy Milano (M.O.D.) on vocals, Scott Ian on guitar and Charlie Benante on drums (both of Anthrax fame). Also, bassist Dan Lilker has been in many other underground metal bands, including Brutal Truth, Nuclear Assault, Exit-13 and early Anthrax among others.
S.O.D. don’t always write songs to anger, but often pen lyrics to amuse. For instance, in response to their (misconstrued) earlier lyrics, S.O.D. wrote the politically-correct (and Agnostic Front-esque) We All Bleed Red: a track that condemns racists and racism. Also, S.O.D. include healthy doses of humor for the metal fan, poking fun at Slayer (Seasoning the Obese), Celtic Frost (Celtic Frosted Flakes), and King Diamond/Mercyful Fate (King at the King/Evil Is In). The cover to Bigger Than the Devil is a tribute to the classic Number of the Beast by Iron Maiden.
From The BNR Metal Pages (http://www.bnrmetal.com/):
“06/25/2002 : Following personal disputes between Billy Milano and the two Anthrax members (Scott Ian and Charlie Benante) concerning the “Behind The Music” VH-1 program on Anthrax (Milano felt that Danny Lilker was slighted) the band is once again disbanded. “

I be signing autographs, for three months straight
I got jet-set women, who offer me favors
My face is a thousand lipstick flavors
Need a sip of lemonade, I'm a slave to my trade
From all these lights my complexion might fade
Secretary overworked, by a money hungry jerk
Got a letter, answer woman, won't you freak out on my shirt?
Well can you rock it like this?
I can rock it like that
Can you rock it like this?
I can rock it like that
Huh!
Your ears are clogged, your head as hard as a log
My privacy robbed, let me do my job
You funny lookin' slob eatin' shiskabob
You're the reason why my eyes are on the doorknob
Can you rock it like this?
I think I rock it like that
But can you rock it like this?
Homeboy I rock it like that
I'm straining not complaining for a casual life
Something normal nuttin' formal three kids and a wife
I'm dying from the spying that you're putting me through
I perspire I'm on fire when I'm thinking of you
But can you rock it like this?
I can rock it like that
Well can you rock it like this?
I can rock it like that
Huh!
Can you rock it like this?
I can rock it like that
But can you rock it like this?
I can rock it like that
Huh!
News reporters, invade my borders
If I think it I will say it, you might have a recorder
And then, uh oh, the nation's in upheaval
Old dating always thinking at me evil
You're stepping on my heels, you're breathing down my neck
I'm not Rodney Dangerfield, so give me respect
Can you rock it like this?
I-I can rock it like that
But can you rock it like this?
Homeboy I rock it like that
Can you rock it like this?
Yo I can rock it like that
But can you rock it like this?
I can rock it like that
Hu-huh-huh!
What it all adds up to, is just one thing
Run-DMC is, the king of the swing
And if you mess with us, you'll be a real short liver
You may be big but our bodyguard's bigger
Can you rock it like this?
I can rock it like that
Can you rock it like this?
I can rock it like that
Can you rock it like this?
I can rock it like that
Can you rock it like this?
Homeboy I rock it like that
In "Rock You Like a Hurricane," S.O.D. expresses frustration with the constant invasion of privacy and lack of personal space that comes with fame. The lyrics comment on the absurdity of some of the experiences that come with celebrity status, such as having fans interrupt meals for autographs, dealing with pushy media, and being objectified by women. The chorus repeatedly asks, "Can you rock it like this?" as a challenge to those who might critique the band's lifestyle or performance, implying that if they can't handle the pressure, they have no right to criticize.
The verse that includes the lines "I perspire, I'm on fire when I'm thinking of you" takes on a different tone when heard in the context of the entire album, titled "Speak English or Die." The band employs satirical and often offensive humor throughout the album, poking fun at various cultural groups and leaning into the most extreme stereotypes for shock value. The verse in question is one example of how S.O.D. often subverts expectations and deliberately crosses the line of good taste to make a point.
Overall, "Rock You Like a Hurricane" provides a window into the conflicting emotions that come with sudden fame and the contradictions that exist within the music industry. By using exaggerated language and ironic humor, S.O.D. invites listeners to question the glamour and hype that often surround famous musicians.
