Hear Me
SOiL Lyrics

Distance is your best friend
At night it comes
Will they hear?
Being alone is what you want
It's the only way that you feel safe inside
The darkness that is me must try and heal
Please hear me
The pain that I feel
Happiness was nowhere to be found
Here I am
You hear nothing that I said
I showed the signs
Please hear me
Being alone is what I want
It's the only way that I feel safe inside
The darkness that is me must try and heal
Please hear me
The pain that I feel
Happiness was nowhere to be found
Please hear me
I scream out for help
Have you even heard a word of mine
The song "Hear Me" by SOiL is a representation of the feelings of isolation and loneliness felt by an individual who craves to be heard and understood. The first lines "Sad the eyes, distance is your best friend, at night it comes, will they hear?" are an indication of how lonely and isolated the person feels despite being surrounded by others. The person feels that no one is able to truly understand their pain and struggles, and being alone is the only way they feel safe.
The chorus "Please hear me, the pain that I feel, happiness was nowhere to be found" is a cry for help and a desperate plea for someone to hear and understand their pain. The person feels unheard and ignored in their attempt to communicate their feelings to those around them. The line "I showed the signs, please hear me" is an indication that the person has tried to communicate their feelings but has been ignored or overlooked.
The last lines "Please hear me, I scream out for help, have you even heard a word of mine" are a final desperate plea for someone to hear and understand their pain. The person is struggling with their inner demons and feels that no one is there to help and support them.
Overall, "Hear Me" is a powerful song that explores the themes of isolation, loneliness, and the human need to be heard and understood by those around us.
