@Potato So, Sabaton paste an Easter Egg in this album, though it refers to "Heroes" album released 6 years after "The Art of War". It means, that in 2008 they had already known, what would happen in 2014. Therefore, we exactly know that Sabaton can see 6 years ahead (or even more). That's the secret of their success. There's no other way to explain it.

I m very impressed that you have so accurately captured the essence of suntzu's work; that the highest form of victory in the battlefield is not through violent bloodshed but through the complete breakdown of the enemy's will to fight even before the first shot is fired. And just because it's a Chinese written treatise, kudos for not adding the stereotypical "oriental" musical gongs and cymbals like what Hollywood would have done. Very well done Sabaston!!

This is going to be kind of a long comment, so feel free to ignore it if you don't like reading long stuff as this goes from a small rant about human nature to a more motivational speech by the end

I want to start by saying thank you Sabaton for what you guys do with combining music and history. Don't let anyone forget the bravery and sacrifices that soldiers all over the world have made in service to their nations. And especially never let anyone forget the horrors and atrocities that have been committed in these wars; most made with sinister intentions, yet others made by people driven to the edge. It seems these days that there is an agenda in our world, mainly the Western world (NA & some of EU), to get rid of patriotism and to try and let the atrocities committed throughout history fade away by simply no longer teaching about them. And I fear that this is the most dangerous thing us as a species could ever do; forgetting our history and no longer respecting those who have fought and those that still do fight to protect us. There is evil in this world and there will always be evil in this world as it is in human nature. There will never come a time where armies are no longer required or wars no longer happen. We can certainly dream of a world such as the one depicted in Star Trek where humans have united and gone past racism, sexism, classism, and wars against other humans, but such a world, IF even possible, is likely only possible thousands of years from now.

But also don't let the bad side of humanity be your only focus. There is SO much good in this world, so many GOOD people who are trying to change the world for the better or simply trying to do everything they can to help others. It doesn't take much to find that goodness, it's just that humans instinctively tend to look at the bad side of things, which is what the media these days is all about: mostly only showing the bad going on rather than the good. Never not be proud of who you are, and that you are gifted to even be alive in the safest era of human history where food, housing, clean water & clothing are easier to get than at any other time in history and we get to enjoy luxuries like electricity, the internet, computers, books, etc. If you are even reading this comment that means you are one of the lucky ones on Earth to have access to the technology required to be online. Many others in poorer places on our planet do not get any of the things listed before that many of us take for granted. That doesn't mean you have to give them up or anything, but just always remember how lucky and gifted you are to have what you have. Don't be like most (though not all) celebrities and think the world owes you for your "achievements" or "accomplishments". Be happy for who you are and remember that things could always be much, much worse.

On a more lighter note, about 1/4 of the way through this video, my cat jumped up on my desk for the first time in months and stayed there for the entire video just watching the words and images on the screen and occasionally swatting the screen with her paw. She must be a Sabaton fan! 🤣

Truly amazing idea for an album fantastically put together. Whoever the women who does the intro voice parts is also excellent, she has a perfect narrating voice and reminds me a lot of the battlefield 1 voice over women who does like the intros to the grand operations missions when you click on them. Very well done, I liked this album a lot. The effort put into this video is amazing! Although from a point of view, historically, some pictures do not date from events of the song (for example Rommel inspecting the Atlantic wall on 1944, and being in the Ghost division song. Still, it's a great way of showing the general, in a song about his division during that time in the war).

The Price of a Mile was my first introduction to Sabaton as well as learning more about World War I in general. The lyrics struck a cord with me and lead me to binging Indy at the Great War channel. Thank you Sabaton team and friends for teaching us.

Now this is what I'm talking about. One of my favorite albums, and I can let it just play as I work around the house. I always enjoyed the pre-production demo of Art of War. Par's bass and the beginning guitar riffs just sound heavier. The lyrics change is intriguing.

Saw Sabaton whilst watching DragonForce and was blown away. Best support band I had ever seen and they are now one of my favourite bands. The whole crowd was screaming their name after every song and I got the feeling that nobody wanted then to leave the stage. Love the album Art of War and I love the fact Sabaton have such a huge presence online with videos like this they make. Now there's no excuse for my 2 boys not to song along
