Oh Yah
Oh Yah
Oh Yah
Weh

Don't put your hands on me
Don't put your hands on me
Don't put your hands on me
Don't put your hands on me, please
Don't put your hands on me
Don't put your hands on hands on
Don't put your hands on me
Don't put your hands on me

He beat me every time he get the chance to
Beat almost weekly even leave the house dismantled
Beat me when we watching TV and I change the channel to scandal
Even when I lock the door handle I'm tackled
I cannot survive this cause I'm fragile
But I have to put with it because leaving's such a hassle
Cause I love him and I feel like all of this may past through
Got my best friends asking me "how could he smack you?"
I do not know how to open up because I'm bashful
Plus I don't want to bother anyone with my bad news
See that's what I'm gonna tell the cops when they dash through
So all them thoughts of leaving me had better been cancelled
See I don't really give a damn if it's not true
Cause they gone believe you socked me before I socked you
Plus you black man, I'm sure you know how the cops do
So I'ma hit myself and then tell them I couldn't stop you
Like

Don't put your hands on me
Don't put your hands on me
Don't put your hands on me
Don't put your hands on hands on
Don't put your hands on me
Don't put your hands on me
Don't put your hands on me
Don't put your hands on me, please

He said
I swear I'm done with this relationship
I would never beat you, but your evilness is lethal
It's a eagle swooping down for pray
I'm praying that you pay for this legitimate
Fraudulence your causing to me often
Plus you hit me hard as hell and I don't ever hit you back
And If I push you on a wall, you might get a little scratch
And then you show it to your friends
They hit my Jack with talking crap
And I been trynna break up but you telling them you take me back?
I'm off of that (aw crap) oh now calling up cops, Screw it
They gotta believe me cause my word is all I got
Wait, why you banging all up on your arm? You better stop
Wait come back, what you doing in that room? The door locked
From this moment you can hear sirens coming from round the block
She came out the door
Snuffed him in his head
Kicked him in the leg
Thew him on the bed, rolled around so he's on top
Cops came in without out a knock
(Put your hands up right now)
While his face was full of shock he was saying
(Get off of her)

Don't put your hands on me
Don't put your hands on me
Don't put your hands on me
Don't put your hands on hands on
Don't put your hands on me
Don't put your hands on me
Don't put your hands on me
Don't put your hands on me, please

The cop said
Get on the ground boy I'm taking you down
She said "stop he learned his lesson he'll stop be beating me now"
The man said "beating you? I was leaving the house"
The cop said "Alright, listen, I'm only hear to announce
How many men kill their partners everyday? 3
Who witness one of those days when it happened? Me
And everytime the cops come, She always try to defend him
When the women's a victim, that's because she's weak
So I'ma say this one time, pack your bags and leave
Cause if this women calls again then you could best believe
That I don't even care what could possibly happen to me
And I'ma choke you till I hear the last breath that you breath"
The cop left, The girl apologized
She barely waited a second to let him know that
She'll go and lie Again
He waited weeks but as soon as he tried
She did the same thing, the cop came he was terrified
So he was screaming

Don't put your hands on me
Beat him until he bleeding
Don't put your hands on me
The Cop thought he was a hero
Don't put your hands on me
Fought for what he believed in
Don't put your hands on hands on
So the man did the time
Don't put your hands on me
He even beat the case
Don't put your hands on me
And the second he was safe
Don't put your hands on me
Trust issues came to play
Don't put your hands on me please
Now his heart chants
"Don't put your hands on me"

Without Trust, you learn to depend on and love only yourself
Most think it's not possible to love yourself too much, but
It can turn into a monster of an ego
You'll move on feeling like you've escaped what created
Your trust issues in the first place

And eventually your mind will occasionally creating scenarios
That can push you and even your best friends apart

I want anyone reading this to know that you are worth more than accepting abuse. No one who truly loves you will hurt you physically. Domestic Violence is a real issue that should not be ignored. No matter who the victim is, we should listen and be there as much as we possibly can be for those in danger. Let's be sure to spread domestic violence awareness even after Domestic Violence Awareness Month (October).
