Don't You Know You're Beautiful?
Seabird Lyrics

You were happy when you were younger
Things were so simple yeah
'Til the day you walked out on your mother
But now you blame yourself
Because you're by yourself
You feel like it's not gonna to change
You're crying on the floor cause you can take no more
And all this time saying you were fine
And everyone still to blame
Well there you are
You and your broken heart
It's written all over your face
Don't you know
Don't you know that you're beautiful yeah
I see you laughing
But I know inside that you're crying
Just tell me what happened when things went wrong
We'll try to make sense of it all
Please don't blame yourself
Cause you're not by yourself
I've been right here all along
Don't have to be alone
Because you've always know
Wherever your heart is my home
And all this time
Saying you were fine
And everyone still to blame
Well there you are
You and your broken heart
It's written all over you're face
Don't you know don't you know that you're beautiful
Yeah
Can't you see what you mean to me
Can't you see what you mean to
The song Don't You Know You're Beautiful is a heartwarming and empathetic tune that recognizes the inner turmoil of an individual who is struggling with feelings of loneliness and inadequacy. The lyrics express the concern of the singer towards the unnamed person and their emotional state. It is evident from the lines 'Don't you remember, you were happy when you were younger, things were so simple yeah' that the singer believes this person has lost their way and a sense of self along the way. They probably experienced some traumatic event, indicated by 'Till the day you walked out on your mother' that caused them to spiral into self-doubt and misery.
The song perfectly captures the realities of those struggling with mental health issues or feeling overwhelmed in life. The lyrics urge the person to be kind to themselves, to accept themselves and their flaws. The chorus 'Don't you know, don't you know that you're beautiful yeah' is a repeated phrase that delivers the message of self-love and acceptance, and the realization that they are not alone in their struggles. The last few lines of the song 'Can't you see what you mean to me' reinforce the idea that this person's inherent worth is not dependent on accomplishments, but rather in the impact they have on others, thus summarizing the message of the entire song.

OMG why aren't they more "famous"? Like, their songs are so amazing, it's better than any "boyband" that makes success today. One of the best songs/bands I ever heard

Precisamente, porque las Boy Band, son promovidas por la misma industria, porque dejan mucho dinero $$ son fáciles de crear y de reemplazar

@Amber Awen I miss these dudes so much!! Their social accounts for the band have been quiet since 2018ish. Really hope they are still making music. I live about 2 hours north of them and have seen them several times. Very down to earth people.

When I hit a depressed rut, my friend told me about this song and how it matched my situation almost perfectly. Whenever I would feel sad and even think of picking up a knife I always listened to this song and just cried instead. Even though it was a sad point for me, I still love this song 'cuz it helped me and reminded me that I did have people who cared.
