Due to comitment difficulties, Sennah have had to replace 2 members in the last year and have managed it without cancelling any upcoming gigs. Steven Johnson (drums) and Jonathan Constantine (bass) have joined original members Laura Saggers (vocals), Alex Garnham (guitar) and Andy Hancock (guitar) to complete the current line-up for Sennah. The result of the changes has led to a more energetic stage show, tighter sets and a more complete sound.
The last EP was recorded with Dave Chang (4ft fingers, Lightyear, Mendeed) at Philia Studios in Oxford, the track “All I Needed” was then used for the soundtrack on the PSP version of “Juiced”. The band are currently in the process of working on new material and planning to head back into the studio to record some more tracks for the new year. The goal for the rest of it will be simple, play as many gigs as possible and continue building on the foundations laid in 2006. The next year promises to be entertaining, they just hope you stick around for the ride.

Today I woke up
Today I woke up
With the thought of you
But you ́ll never know
But you ́ll never know
And I ́ll never know you
Sweetheart
Do you ever ask yourself the same?
Do you wonder where I am?
Think back on those nights
We shared a smoke
Even though we quit
To be alone for a bit
Today I woke up
Today I woke up
Today I woke up
With the thought of you
But you ́ll never know
But you ́ll never know
And I ́ll never know you
You told me about your dreams
Danced just to show off
And shared a smoke
Even though you quit
Just to be alone
Today I woke up
Today I woke up
Today I woke up
With the thought of you
But you ́ll never know
But you ́ll never know
And I ́ll never know you
The lyrics of Sennah's song "Lucky Strike" portray a sense of longing and missed opportunities in a past relationship. The repetition of "Today I woke up" at the beginning of each stanza highlights the singer's current state of reflection and reminiscing about the person they are addressing. They express that even though they still think about this person, who is referred to as "you," they acknowledge that they will never truly know them anymore.
The lyrics suggest that there was something special between the singer and "you." They question what could have been if things had turned out differently, and if both parties ever wonder about each other or their current whereabouts. The reference to sharing a smoke, despite having quit, symbolizes the intimacy and connection they once shared. It's a nostalgic reminder of the moments they spent together, even in secrecy.
Overall, "Lucky Strike" delves into the bittersweet emotions of lost connections and unrequited longing. The singer wakes up each day with thoughts of the person they once knew, but it's clear that the opportunity to truly understand or rekindle that connection has passed.
