Pyramid God
Septic Flesh Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Again… again… again you try to find me
You seek the one not willing to be found

Pyramid God, unlike the places you have been
I’m not confined by lines

Pyramid God, I am the dreamer of this realm,
(God) but not the dream inside.
Pyramid God, I am the head outside the dream
(God) I am the headless mind!

Are you… are you… are you a breath of mine?
You cross my gates, the gates of space and time

Pyramid God, am I the user of the gates?
I live a triangle life

Pyramid God, I am the dreamer of this realm,
(God) but not the dream inside.
Pyramid God, I am the head outside the dream.
(God) I am the headless mind!

Build me a monument,
new age conspirators.
Expand my theories
to a world without end

Build me a monument,
new age conspirators.
Expand my theories
to a world without end

The Pyramid God is watching…

Build me a monument,
new age conspirators.

Expand my theories
to a world without end

Overall Meaning

The opening lines of Septic Flesh's song Pyramid God suggest that the listener is seeking some sort of entity that is not interested in being found. The following lines introduce the concept of the Pyramid God, and it is revealed that this god is not confined by the limitations of physical spaces or time. The repeated lines of "Pyramid God" seem to act as a sort of chant, emphasizing the god's importance and power. The singer appears to be questioning whether the listener is "a breath of mine," again suggesting that the god exists on a level above and beyond the physical world.

The chorus of the song repeats the previous idea that the Pyramid God is the dreamer of this realm, but not a part of the dream itself. The god is described as having a head outside of the dream, but also as a headless mind. This creates an intriguing contrast of the physical and non-physical world, emphasizing the limitless nature of the god's power.

The final lines of the song, "Build me a monument, new age conspirators. Expand my theories to a world without end," seem to be a direct command from the Pyramid God. The god is watching and waiting for followers to build a monument to its power, and to spread its influence and theories beyond the bounds of the physical world.

The Violinist slightly nodding his head to the beat is pure perfection

If you watch closely you'll see a number of the orchestra getting into the songs, it's hard not to with the amount of energy these guys bring to the music

@WatchRayPlay

I would hope their appreciation of music helps, though I can bet there's a few going "we are really playing for these guys??"

However nowadays it's less and less of a surprise to see orchestral ensemble blending live with metal. Dimmu borgir, Metallica, Yngwie Malmsteen, and many more have done such performances available on youtube

@Sebs0027

You can tell the orchestra is totally into this band as well. 🤘👹🤘

@cherylchaison6363

This is symphonic metal at its best. Beautiful

@cooltechnician

Nightwish..Epica.. Within Temptation are Symphonic metal.. Septic Flesh.. Fleshgod Apocalypse and now Shadow of Intent are Symphonic Death Metal

I don't really listen to Septicflesh, but I saw a nice looking thumbnail of the live performance of Persepolis, and next thing you know I spent my day watching this concert on repeat, and yes for the entirety of the concert I had grimace of war because well how could I not when the music is so greasy as fuck. Bravo, everyone involved, this is phenomenal.
